It was okay....didn't like that there was no elevator, needs to be updated....balcony door didn't lock. Breakfast was not great ran out of stuff quickly and not enough sitting room.

Pros: availability on short notice
Cons: The black grout in the bathroom and the overall odor of the room made the experience less than desirable.
Was a place to stay for one night. Staff was pleasant.

It was fine. We only slept there and didn't use the facilities. The breakfast could have had some fruit such as bananas or apples or local in season items.

Fine accommodations for the price! Close to downtown. Nothing fancy but you get what you pay for.

Good place to stay overnight

We stayed at Ambassador Inn because we went to a wedding in Newport and since the reception began at 7PM and we were not going to spend any time there except to sleep, we felt it was silly to stay in Newport where the room rates are extremely high. Our room at the Ambassador Inn was spacious with two full beds which were very clean and comfortable. The air conditioner was quiet and functioned very well. Although the bathroom was quite small, it was clean and had a very good shower stream. The continental breakfast was all we needed to start the day. All in all, we enjoyed our short stay and would stay there again in the same circumstances.

Not bad for the price.

Pros: Location and price.
Cons: Overall appearance, and breakfast.
Location: Newport is a short drive.
Hotel was generally pretty clean, but short of expectations as compared to Hampton's or Holiday Inn Express.
