Chilly weather but warm hostsPosted Nov 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
A visit in November provided smaller crowds but it was chilly. However the mansions where interesting- we were lucky that The Elms was already decorated for Christmas. Our innkeepers were delightful. Very helpful and cheery! The breakfasts were OUTSTANDING!

I really stayed only for the evening, and left early the next morning. That said, the innkeepers were very pleasant & helpful, and the accomodations were perfect. Great neigghbourgood. Loved the location.

Wonderful B&B in NewportPosted Oct 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Can't say enough positive things about our two night stay at the artful lodger. Wonderful breakfasts prepared by the incredibly friendly innkeeper Lieza (who, upon discovering I was a vegetarian, purchased veggie sausages for me). Inn was clean and very charming and within close walking distance to many of the attractions in Newport including the mansions, great restaurants, and the waterfront.

Great B&B, clean, ideally located & great food!Posted Oct 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The B&B was very clean, breakfast served 8:30-10:00 and was excellent. The Innkeepers were very personable and a pleasure to chat with. The B&B was ideally located close to Thames St.- loads of shopping, bars restaurants etc within walking distance. We did not move the car from the B&B parking lot all weekend. The view from the breakfast room is very nice. The only downside was the Rose Room (class E) is very small (cozy, but small) and had the private bath across the hall. The other guest rooms are much larger with private ensuite baths and not much different in cost. Be sure to check your room options.

Friendly owners, great location!Posted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: Location, owners, great breakfast, location!
Location: Beaches are a short drive or bike ride away, shops and restaurants w/in walking distance. For craft beer and good cheap food, try Pour Judgment!
This B&B is within walking distance of the shops, restaurants, and harbor in the heart of downtown Newport. There are two porches- one with an ocean view- to sit and relax. The owners are friendly, knowledgable of the area- lots of fun to talk to over breakfast. Will definitely return!
