“Quaint with amenities”

The Beechtree was the exact experience that we were looking for in Newport. It combined the charm and quaintness of a B and B with the privacy and amenities of a larger hotel. The room was luxurious enough and impeccably clean. The entire house had lovely little decorative touches but also felt warm and inviting. The staff was attentive without being intrusive. The highlight was the host, Jim, who's warmth and generosity of spirit gave us a glimpse into the local flavor. Breakfast was satisfying and delicious with plenty of choices. The location, slightly off the beaten path, still allowed us to walk to the Marina and to dinner every night. But it was delightful in the late evenings and early mornings to be in that beautiful and quiet neighborhood. We chose one of their upgraded rooms with jacuzzi and fireplace.

“A couple's get away.”

The Beech Tree Inn was a welcome respite from the daily grind. Our room was very clean and attractive with a smal balcony. Jim, our host, was friendly and informative about the Newport area. Breakfast was delicious, something to look forward to each morning.

“Beautiful! Perfect location!”

Staff were friendly and helpfull. Location is perfect! We took bikes and rode everywhere within 10 minutes. Newport is extremely busy at times so the inn was located close enough but not in the middle of all the traffic and noise! 2 minutes from the beach and 2 minutes from Thames. Rooms clean and cozy! Will definitely return!

“Clean, Pretty, Nice Innkeepers.”

Loved this inn. Seems a bit off the beaten path when you drive their via GPS, but it is not. I am a bit of a clean freak, it was very clean. Nice breakfast. Very nicely decorated. If I am scratching for a complaint, it is upgrade the TP. visit the newly relocated Fifth Element, a wine bar, great flatbread pizza and music on Sundays (seemed too loud when we sat down, but you become accustomed to it), and the Hungry Monkey cafe for breakfast (very down to earth) - both walkable. If you miss it on the website - it does allow animals. I missed it and my husband is allergic. Wasn't really much of a problem though...
