Disappointing customer servicePosted Jul 25, 2015
We had a problem with the air conditioner in our room and spoke to front desk staff about switching rooms. They assured us they could give us a different room after checkout time, as the hotel had been full night before. Checked back with the front desk two more times during the day -they took my cell number assured me they would call me as soon as the new room was ready. I was anxious to get into it, as we were working around toddler nap schedules. The third time I checked at the front desk I was told that they had forgotten about my request for a new room and the hotel was now rebooked for the entire night with no other rooms available. The woman at the desk never once apologized about the oversight or the fact I never received a call. The next day a different front desk staff did apologize and offer a discount for the night, but since I had prepaid on Expedia that was of no use. we enjoyed The location as well as the swimming pool, but it wasn't uncomfortable three nights in the actual hotel room.

surprisingly good for the money!Posted Jul 11, 2015
Cons: Maybe a couple of more outlets. We might be old, but we are tuned in to the media world!!
Location: Near the best beach; a mile from downtown Newport; Near enough to go to town as much as we wanted, and come back and relax near a quite beach.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed and pillows were outstanding. We had a room, that looked across to the beach. We could watch the surf without spending a lot of time on the beach, which we were medically unable to do. It had a fridge and microwave. It was so nice, we didn't want to leave. Slept better then I do at home. Only a mile from the higher priced hotels in Newport. We stayed 3 nights, will be back!

Beach right across the street, restaurants next door, indoor pool!!! We all enjoyed ourselves in Middletown. Close to Newport, walked the Cliff walks. Will be back next year!!!!!

Well-kept hotel is a great value in the off-seasonPosted Feb 20, 2015 on Hotels
Second time at this hotel, and second time in February! Very comfortable, clean rooms. Very friendly desk personnel and a nice breakfast room. Parking is tight, but they kept all their spots cleared of the snow. Good location for visiting birders, as First Beach is within walking distance and Sachuest Point NWR is just down the road.
