Beautiful house with wonderful host.Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: The house, the warm welcome by host Marise, the calmness of its situation, the breakfast, the bedding and bed, the breakfast : the full package!!!
Cons: Maybe we could get eggs for breakfast.
Location: Great location. We went into town on foot and found nice restaurants within stroll distance. Also, the location is quiet. No road traffic noises.
The house is beautifully presented and Marise is a wonderful host!! We loved our suite, the bed is as majestic as comfy and my husband and daughters( 13 & 11) loved the bathroom particularly. A wonderful time in lovely Newport. We'd definitely go back : it was all so perfect!!

Overnight StayPosted May 16, 2014
Pros: The service was superb. The breakfast was delicious.
Location: LaFarge-Perry is located (relatively) within walking distance of Thames Street and the wharfs.
My husband and I stayed just one night but it was wonderful. We have never stayed at a bed and breakfast; however we are totally sold on staying at another. Our host, Marise, was very gracious. We had an early morning event and thought we would miss breakfast but she made sure we had plenty to eat upon our return. Our bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. We could really feel the history in the home. Although our stay was short, we will absolutely stay at LaFarge-Perry on our next visit to Newport.

A Victorian Gem! With an Incredible Innkeeper ....Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: Large room , porch balcony, fridge and iron in room. Beautiful quiet neighborhood within easy walking distance to downtown Newport.
From the minute I walked in ... Until the minute I left I was warmly welcomed with surprise after surprise... Beautifully appointed Rooms, which were large and comfortable. Marise is the wonderful Innkeeper who is so friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable of the area. She just added such a priceless element to my stay. Breakfast "with Marise" was simply wonderful in the grand Victorian dining room with attached side breakfast nook beside the blooming magnolia tree! And added touch with my ice coffee made following morning for me!

Beautiful and indulging B&B in NewportPosted Apr 24, 2014
Pros: Location, design, breakfast, comfort, neatness and hospitality are what we liked about this hotel.
La Farge Perry is a historical house showing a lot of character. It is designed in way which preserves the old family house, each room is different, just like in the days the La Farge Perry family were living there. The hostess, who from the very first minute was very hospitable and friendly, decided to upgrade us to a beautiful suite. The only downside was that we had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the third floor, but the room was so beautiful and neat, and the view of thetown and bay from the windows was so magnificent, that it was worth climbing. Location is great, walking distance from the town-center, restaurants and other Newport attractions. Breakfast was rich, fresh and met each one's desires. In all, this is a most recommended hotel!

Loved it!Posted Mar 24, 2014
The inn keeper helped us know where to eat, and what to see. The room was a dream. We could hear church bells every morning I felt like I was in a dream!
