A little of the "Mansion" experiencePosted Nov 13, 2014
Pros: Location/views, decor/charm, large shower with multiple sprayers, heated tile floor, gas fireplace, fire pit, dinner, staff.
Location: Only .5 miles to the historic district Bellevue Ave. for shopping and food... 1 mile to Thames St. for more food/wharf experience.
A most excellent stay in every way. Great location for mansion hopping or town excursion. Loved the complimentary shuttle service. The 3 mile cliff walk begins behind this dwelling.

Great hotel, great locationPosted Apr 1, 2014 on Hotels.com
Although Newport didn't give us good spring weather, we enjoyed the room (and sea view), the food and the staff looked after us very well. We'd definitely go back again.

BeautifulPosted Mar 29, 2014 on Hotels.com
Me and my husband went for our anniversary, it was the most beautiful place we ever went to. I will definitely be booking another room for next year. We loved it so much and had a beautiful time! I would recommend this hotel for business, anniversary's, or just a place to get away too.

Everyone was very polite. The waiter for breakfast kinda freaked us out a bit. Other than that the experience was awesome

Once in a Lifetime ExperiencePosted Dec 13, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I cut 4 days out of our vacation to splurge on this place, and we didn't regret it one bit! We stayed in the Greek Revival room. It was one of the smaller and cheaper rooms but it was still exceedingly well done. The staff are the best part of the hotel. They'll get you anything you want. The free champagne, chocolates, and cookies were awesome. Our favorite aspects were: the view of the Atlantic, the free use of the town car transportation, and the heated tile floors in the bathroom. The breakfast was quiet, plentiful, and had a great view. We hated to leave and can't wait to go back!

Might be worth the cost...Posted Nov 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
The inn is in a great location. Overlooks the bay, right on the cliff walk just 3/4 of a mile from the Breakers; beach just a short 5-minute walk away too. And, though it's not downtown (20-25 minute walk), you can walk to Bellevue Ave in about 10 minutes. Better yet, the inn will drive you into town and come pick you up with just a phone call -- this is a great service and should eliminate any concern about not being "in town". The amenities are also great. Fire pit, ingredients for s'mores, in-house restaurant (breakfast isn't a bad deal) and the room was very comfortable. Room was nice, bath was pretty lux. Being on the third floor, we did have a few flights of stairs (not a problem for us, might be for some). All staff are friendly, mostly college kids (so make sure to tip!). Turn-down service also a nice touch. You'll pay for all this comfort, but I was able to use my "free night" so our two-night stay seemed like a bargain. Would probably be worth it at regular price, depending on your budget.

Great location on the Cliff Walk. Elegant rooms with amazing views. Classic decor with modern amenities, like heated bathroom floors. Friendly staff. Very pleasant stay.

Tastefully Converted MansionPosted Oct 19, 2013
Each room is unique. Ours was small with not enough table surfaces in either the bedroom or bath. Everything else about the place was outstanding. First class service, excellent food and bar, and complimentary car service to anywhere around town. The location, right on Cliff Walk can't be beat. We'll go back next time in town.

The service was amazing and the hotel was fabulous. Really made me feel like I was a socialite from Newport . The staff was also probably the best part!
