Nice hotel, well located. Price was fair, service very good and polite. Has a nice pool but no exercise facility. Located in the heart of Newport with easy parking. A very good value for the money in early January.

Great location, hotel needs major work and updatinPosted Jan 5, 2015
This hotel was right in the action, which was great. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to do. However, this hotel needs major work. The pool was in need of repairs and generally shabby. We are used to much cleaner newer hotels.

Nice hotel right in the heart of things.Posted Jan 4, 2015
Location: The Cliff Walk in Newport is amazing. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is worth a visit if you're a tennis fan.
Nice simple, clean hotel right on the bay. Paid less for this than most other places I checked out off season. Beds were comfortable, and thermostat and heat worked great. No refrigerator unless you wanted to pay an extra $15. Never made it to the hotel bar because there are just too many other good bars and restaurants within a few blocks. I'm not a swimmer so I don't know what the pool is like. I'd prefer a small on site gym. Overall, it's a nice no frills place to stay.

Great hotel, great location!Posted Jan 2, 2015
This hotel is in the best spot. You can walk around the wharf and visit all of the downtown Newport hotspots! Beautiful pool overlooking the ocean. Cozy sauna as well! Staff is very helpful. Only downside is having to pay for parking-$8/night in the winter.

Family choose the same hotel for a reunion.Posted Dec 28, 2014
Pros: Just the guy in the front desk, he was very courteous and polite to us all the time.
Cons: I believed is time to renovated the hotel, rooms need microwaves and refrigerators including in the price. Very expensive.
Location: Definitely it is perfect, near the shopping center, restaurants and the view is awesome.
Very disappointing, toilette was running, hot water takes ages to get to the bath tub and sink, heater make noises all the time, I could here the neighbors on top of me peeing, and using everything on the bathroom. And besides that you pay for parking lot in winter, the town is a ghost town.

Great view, nice hotelPosted Dec 23, 2014
We stayed mid-winter and all was fine. Found free parking just outside the hotel lot (which would have been $8) which is available through the winter slow season. Clean, comfortable, nice staff. Request an upper floor, harbor view room. Wonderful to wake up to the view.

Small rooms, but perfect location!Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: The location was perfect. Also, I really liked the fireplace seating area in the lounge.
Cons: Shelving or additional hooks in the bathroom could make the space better.
Location: Bowen's Wharf and Thames St. are right there. Steak nachos at Diego's at Bowen's Wharf were fabulous!!
We spent a weekend at the Newport Harbor Hotel so we could see the mansions for Christmas. The front desk staff was wonderful. The rooms were a bit small, but they were typical hotel rooms. I would have liked a slightly bigger bathroom, or at least additional shelves or hooks to put my toiletries and clothes. The breakfast was affordable and good, and the service was efficient. The location was the BEST part - right next to Bowen's Wharf and walking distance to everything in the wharf/Thames St. area.
