Great place to stay in NewportPosted Oct 27, 2013
Right in a beautiful old building in the lovely old part of town. Very cozy room and comfortable king size bed. Staff were very good to deal with. Wonderful deck on the second floor up available for guests to use. Walking distance to great bars and restaurants and the Americas cup waterfront. Parking onsite at the back of the building. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in Newport RI

Pros: Central location
Location: Excellent, central location.
Great location in the centre of a lovely town. Free parking a big bonus. Breakfasts were very comprehensive. This was the best B&B we stayed in; the sort you look forward to coming back to in the evening.

Good valuePosted Jul 15, 2012
Location: Excellent, within easy walking distance to restaurants and the wharf area.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely B & B. It is in a great, safe location within easy walking distance to lots of restaurants. The room was comfortable although the bathroom was small but it had lovely fluffy towels. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The price included parking as well as breakfast. Breakfast was good and included cereals, yoghurts, muffins, bagels, croissants, waffles and fresh fruit - strawberries, apples, oranges & bananas plus fruit juice and tea & coffee.

GOT TOOK!!!!!Posted Oct 25, 2011
Location: Beautiful town, lots of great eating places, wonderful shops and lots to see and do. We will go back to this area again.
Bed & Breakfast, in an old somewhat historic home, with 12 rooms and 10 parking spaces, so you guessed it, 2 are double parked down the middle of the small parking area. We were on the 3rd floor, with winding steps. Room has an anitque dresser, old bed, and a small outdated tv on a stand at the foot of the bed. Sm window room A/C. The bath was so small, my husband hit his head. The continental breakfast was nice, in the basement. Way overpriced for the accomodations, even in this historic, ritzy town. Some of the rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors may be okay, but not the 3rd floor.

Just okPosted May 27, 2011
The best thing about this inn was the location. It was within walking distance to everything. About a five minute walk to Thames Street which is where most of the restaurants are.

Will definitely go backPosted Oct 25, 2010
I loved the Yankee Peddler. The location was great, the staff was warm and friendly. We were able to walk everywhere. Would definitely go back. A great time in Newport. So glad I picked this location as opposed to neighboring areas which are "across a bridge"

Charming Historic InnPosted Aug 11, 2010
This was our second stay at the Yankee Peddlar Inn. We stayed in the carriage house this time, which we enjoyed. The room was a bit smaller, but felt there was more privacy there. The rooftop deck is beautiful, in the daytime, or under the stars. Very nice and complete complimentary continental breakfast. The location is a very short walking distance to the downtown harbor area, which is nice, as parking in that area can be difficult. A very enjoyable stay!

Charming Inn in NewportPosted Aug 22, 2007
The Yankee Peddler Inn is in the Historic District in Newport. It's a lovely old house built in 1858, snuggled in the midst of other lovely old buildings, cobblestone streets and gorgeous landscaping. An easy walk to the harbor. Our innkeepers were charming and full of information about Newport beaches, restaurants and activities. They never steered us wrong! The Continental breakfast is bountiful and excellent.
