“Nice property with horrible housekeeping”

Facility is having housekeeping problems at present. Found hair and fingernail clippings in bedsheets. Tub water ran brown. Urine stains on toilet seat and sticky spot on sink counter. Tub drian clogged and tub water dripped after turning it on the first time. Property is nice, front desk very accomodating and tried to take care of our issues, but similar problems on second night. Cannot recommend this property at present time.

Area recommendations

Oyster Point or City Centre if stayin in Newport News is much nicer neighborhood.

“Not what I expected”

Well the pictures lead you to believe updated more that it is. Shower temperture kept changing while showering, hot and cold. Would not stay there again.

“Hampton VA Best Western”

This hotel had very many signs of flooding and mold. My family members and I booked 4 rooms and all of them were very humid, recked of old water and showed signs of water damage. The rooms were small and not that accommadating as afar a space goes. There were also notice of spills that were not being cleaned for several days. However, the loctaion was right across from a shopping area and surrounded by eatting establishments. The big upset was going to other hotels nearby and feeling really cheated! This was such a disappointment:(

“Party night”

Our room was located over the ballroom. Loud music with bass beat played until 11:00. We were weary from traveling and needed to get to sleep in order to get up early the next morning. Apparently some of the party goers were in the room adjoining ours as the loud talking and door slamming went on for hours. Street noise was very disturbing from motorcycles "winding" up as they hit the street near us. We had stayed here before and had rooms on the Mercury Blvd. side of the building and had no problems with street noise.

Area recommendations

Not sure if we would recommend any area or neighborhood for hotels in Hampton following our experience. Perhaps we will try either Williamsburg or Newport News next time.

“stormy wheather”

we stayed during the hurricane iren, the rooms are nice, but the bathrooms are to small, and it takes forever for the water to drain out of the tub. also the bathroom need some kind of vents installed to let out the steam instead of having to leave the bathroom door open

“plan on waiting”

All I have to say is 3 hours after check in time a room was finally ready for us to stay in. Four hour drive with the kids and then had to wait another 3 to get into the room. Not happy at all.

“Very Satisfied”

I was very satisfied with this hotel. The staff was friendly, the hotel was clean, and the pool was a plus in 95+ degree weather. I would definitely stay here again!
