An unexpended find.Posted Aug 10, 2014
Pros: Generous sized junior suite with full stocked kitchen. All features of good quality and very clean. Located near to tranportation, but in a park-lik
Cons: A pool would be great. Pet friendly, but fees too high.
Location: Well located in the Hampton, Newport News area with many historic sites, restaurants and good shopping.
Very enjoyable. Very agreeable, very comfortable. Will definitely look for a Candlewoods property in future trips.

Great place for long staysPosted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Spacious room, free laundry facilities and nicely stocked pantry.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: It is very close to the Newport News airport in the north and a entertainment and shopping center to the south
This is a nice hotel for longer stays. Friendly staff and facilities with amenities to compensate for its slightly out of the way location. Though not in a commercial location, restaurants and other entertainment is not far away.

The staff of this hotel were very attentive and personable. The rooms, bathroom and kitchenette are kept very clean-down to the dust on the baseboards. I've stayed there at least 10 separate times, after having stayed at several other locations in the area. I will, in future, always stay at the Hampton Candlewood-a tremendous bargain, all around!

Best way to rest.Posted Jun 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Good room with a clean/furnished kitchen, bed, bathroom and a TV with available HDMI ports. Pet friendly and cheap. If you're willing to live like an adult and hang up your towel and not have someone make your bed every day for you, this is the way to live while traveling.

Good stay... and would stay again.Posted May 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
Clerk was friendly and helpful. Room was in very good condition. Only needed one night on our way back to Richmond from Virginia Beach. Water pressure in the shower was also very good... allowed for a nice mini-massage. Only suggestion is to improve the quality of the facial tissues in the bathroom... they were rather rough.
