Disappointed that smoking was not allowed on balcony...had to go to parking lot (inconvenient).

Hotel is modern beautiful and great location to everything, food convention center, coliseum and you can walk to almost everything. The one thing I would say negative is the hotel should offer free breakfast. Other than that so very perfect.

Stress over Reservation

I was pleased with the hotel itself. The interior d├ęcor was fresh and updated. In addition, it was a very clean hotel. In addition, the location was perfect for us because we were attending an event at the Hampton Coliseum. That being said, it was quite disconcerting that I was unable to contact the hotel and provide my Hotels.com confirmation number and have them be able to find the reservation. I was told at first they couldn't find it with my name and maybe I had the wrong hotel. The next time, I provided my name and confirmation number, and at this point, was told the confirmation number had too many digits. This caused quite a bit of stress on the part of our group as I was trying to confirm our room and add my husband to the room. They finally located me when they found my maiden and married name together in the system as one word, but the entire episode was very poorly handled. I have never had an issue with a hotel that I booked via Hotels.com, which I do several times a year, so I have to assume it was a problem with this hotel especially with the lack of concern/willingness to help that I experienced with both employees who I spoke to during my two calls to the hotel to confirm my reservation. I would not stay at the hotel again due to this issue and would most likely book the Hilton Garden Inn around the corner where we stayed several weeks before without any issues.

Close access to Sentara Careplex Hospital

We were greeted by a very friendly staff member at the hotel, which made us feel welcome. It was a long trip from New Jersey and we arrived late morning and our room was ready for check in at that time. We were in Hampton to visit a family member who is in Sentara Careplex Hospital. It would have been nicer if the hotel had offered a free continental breakfast in the reception area and a microwave in the room. Overall, it was satisfactory..

quick stay

Pros: its in the center of hampton pretty much was quick to get everywhere I wanted to go
Went down for a weekend to visit friends. staff was awesome
