Nice Location - But Terrible Hotel

Posted Jul 16, 2015
Pros: The Front desk staff were Very Friendly, polite and funny.
Cons: NEW sheets and blankets & pillows on the bed!!!
Location: The shops @ Oyster Point are a huge plus.
The Hotel is old and outdated. If they replace ALL the carpets throughout; paint; put new sheets, blankets, pillows and comforters - the stay would be tolerable!!! It's no reason to have blankets on the bed that are so old that they have holes and a hundreds of lint balls!!

IF NOT PREPAID & AGREED TO NONREFUND WOULDVE RAN

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: SMELL, CLEANLINESS, FOOD FOR BREAKFAST, ROOM NOT FUNCTIONING-LIGHTS, DOOR TO BATHROOM NOT SHUTTING, I CANT STRESS ENOUGH DIRTY PILLOWS AND SHEETS
Location: Central to food and shops because you will need to get breakfast
Not sure where to begin....I want to say this hotel has a great location! After check in we headed to the non air conditioned elevator and hallway. Upon entering our room we were IMMEDIATELY HIT WITH A PUTRID HORRIBLE SMELL. It was so bad you could taste it. As I walked over to the beds I had to kill a bug on the pillow. The pillows smelled as if they were years old, nasty, I asked for extra pillow cases to double them up. I WENT TO THE STORE AND BOUGHT LYSOL disinfectant along with 2 plug in air fresheners. SHEETS WERE DIRTY, BLANKET LOOKED SHREDDED WITH HOLES AND THE HAIRS EVERYWHERE were just beyond NASTY! Night stand had a horrible SHARP crack through the top. Bed cover was full of holes and hairs. Bathroom - Ugh toilet base probably hasn't EVER BEEN CLEAN! NO shower liner just outer curtain that didn't fit on the rod so gaps on each side getting water everywhere. Trying to sleep w kids screaming up and down halls went on four hours even after complaining. FREE BREAKFAST not really coffee, toast oatmeal. ... And even that isn't a guarantee. KEEP LOOKING!!

Ok stay

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Warmly greeted by the staff. Looked forward to getting to the room. Entered the room and was greeted by the noisiest air conditioner I have heard in recent memory. Other than that it was a pleasant stay.

Grey Tape

Pros: Location
Carpet in hall needed repair and was held together with grey tape; continental breakfast had "slim picklins". Can not recommend.

Unhappy Traveler

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: It has good potential just need some dedicated work and time to make it the best it can be.
Cons: Cleanliness-- microwave, carpet, bathroom floor, toilet and tub. New carpet needed in room. Ironing board fell to floor as I was pressing clothes.
Location: Great shopping areas and restaurants.
I arrived an hour after check in time. The parking lot was filthy with paper, food and a broken bottle was lying in a parking space close to the door. A large bird was eating garbage. The outside trash can was turned over. I mentioned to the attendant at the check in desk about the disappointing appearance of the front entrance. After finding the room, the door was open with a housekeeping staff standing outside the door. I asked if the room was ready she stated just need towels. As I walked in, I noticed the carpet had visible trash and needed to be vacuumed. I left out so the room could be cleaned. After returning three hours later with a can of lysol, the bathroom still was not clean, trash on the floor as well as other items noticeably soiled.

IT was different

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The location is excellent , like that it was only 3 floors nice and cozy.
Cons: Wall paper missing from the bathroom wall, the toilet tissue holder was rusted, tub was dirty& slippery and the carpet was not vacuumed,
Location: The location is excellent close to restaurants and plenty of shopping Hotel could use more lighting out front
Desk clerk was a pest , having had knee surgery I wasn't able to move as fast, and this clerk was a pest about getting out of the room first call I told her I was packing up, then the maid was at the door, then desk clerk called again. Then as I was coming down the hall here she comes up and says room 315. My Goodness! Night clerk gave me room 314 first, to my surprise an sleeping guest opened the door, then I find out I was in room 315. Saturday night room key card didn't open door, they had me for 2 nights instead of 3 nights.

A dated but friendly hotel .

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The friendliness
Cons: Some updating of decor and facilities
Location: There is lots of historical places and museums in the locality but without a car difficult to get to.
The hotel staff were friendly. The rooms were clean and well serviced daily. It was a little at out from activities in the area, but a good taxi service helped. A little more help would have been nice about the locality and its places of interest. The room was comfortable but the shower and toilet needed some upgrading.

Priced right!

Posted Jun 17, 2015
Pros: Price
Cons: Serve the continental bfast longer.
Location: Everything was pretty close. Movies, food and things to see.
Hotel was priced well for location. Close to food and most accommodations. easy to access main roads and staff was very Nice. The only thing I could suggest is serving your cont.b-fast longer. 9:00 AM is too early and when we went down at 8:45, there was nothing left.
