Nice hotel near everything

Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: I liked that the breakfast area was nice was nice and clean, and that it had plug in outlets if you needed to plug in while having breakfast.
Cons: Nothing, I enjoyed my stay, the only thing I can complain was that my room was room 216 and we had no view but the concrete wall . It was nice and big
Location: Shopping, eating and just being able to go to places that we dont have in Staunton,Va
I loved how close the hotel was to grocery stores, restaurants and shopping. The staff was very friendly and made me consider moving to Hampton to work in a Hampton Inn or business!! I was there for a Cheerleading Competition that weekend. Tuesday the lady that checked me in was very friendly and helpful!!!

Stay

Posted Dec 2, 2013
Pros: Professionalism of staff, contemporary, inviting d├ęcor and clean hotel.
Cons: Discard comforters when feathers aren't evenly distributed. Prevents total coverage for warmth.
Location: n/a. Went to visit my father who is very ill.
My stay was short. Wished I could have enjoyed my room a little longer. Great breakfast, pleasant staff and clean. I would stay there again. Corinthians

I loved everything about it except for the breakfast, breakfast was awful the eggs were badly cooked. I was there with a group of friends and they all said the same thing.

Just fine

Posted Nov 11, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Openable windows for fresh air.
When we first got into our room it immediately smelled of stale smoke. The housekeeping cart was outside the door so I borrowed the Febreeze to see if it could help. It did not so I had to ask for another room. They were not able to provide the exact setup but were able to accommodate our request to a much cleaner and fresher smelling room that was satisfactory. The staff was always very nice and willing to help - making more cookies in the evening after running out. The hotel overall was decent, clean and in a great location. Nothing fancy but it worked out just fine for our 3 day stay.

Good Location

Posted Oct 21, 2013
Pros: Rooms food and staff
Cons: control of airconditioning in common areas
Location: Good location restaurants and shopping
The hotel has an excellent location in proximity to Hampton University as well as a variety of eating places. The breakfast offerings were good. My only complaint was that the airconditioning in the hallways was extremely cold particularily since the outside temperatures were only about 70 degrees max.

What a joke of a hotel

Posted Oct 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Being less than 3 yrs old it still looked new. Inside was the same. The room was spacious with a king bed and large bathroom. The bed was not intended to be comfortable. It felt like it hadn't been turned down since it was installed in the room. I thought Hampton inn was supposed to be an elite hotel that left you wanting to stay. I had better service and comfort at a holiday inn. Will definitely not recommend or suggest Hampton inn as a place to spend a night. Management definitely could use a course in customer care as well.
