Good hotel but a bit pricey

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: Everything except the extra charges for parking and for Wi=Fi.
Location: We stayed here because we were visiting family in Newton. The hotel is on the Charles River, which is visible from the dining room.
We stayed for two nights. Location was good for us, accommodations were fine. We ate evening meals twice and they were good. We purchased the breakfast option and that proved to be a good deal. The breakfast buffet was very good.

Beautiful hotel outside of Boston

Posted Jul 7, 2014
My boyfriend and I were looking for hotels that would rent to 19 year olds. We found this one and were greatly surprised by the looks of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. We stayed here over night when we wanted to get away and go into Boston for dinner. It's right by the train station with easy access into Boston & the hotel room and staff was great! I'd absolutely book here again.

Very nice hotel, restaurant was a bit pricey but the food was excellent. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Beds and pillows, comforters first class and very comfortable. No outdoor pool, no hot tub. Nice workout facilities. Parking costs $10/day, which is annoying. There is a Starbucks in the lobby. Free USA Today newspaper. Right on the Charles River. Make sure that you try the little breakfast café just around the corner (I forget the name, but the front desk people know it), it was cheap and GREAT food.

Thank you for the positive feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. The restaurant you are referring to is called the Knotty PIne. It is a local favorite.

Nice hotel... Room smelled musty

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Location, lobby and outside grounds.
Cons: Moisture and dampness in rooms.
We stayed on the lowest floor of hotel. The description indicates it overlooks the Charles River. It may from the 4th floor and above but not the bottom floors. The grounds were very nice with some outside seating areas. Most disppointing was our room smelled of must. It was very damp. It did not help that we saw a commercial style fan sitting in the hotel hallway just outside our door indicating they were drying something. Nice place, good location... room was not comfortable due to the moisture.
