“Decent Hotel”
But the customer service at front desk was less than amicable. Also the pool heater was broken and no notice at front desk about it. Chose this hotel because it had a pool also.
“If you like to listen to traffic”
The hotel was clean and nicely furnished. That’s the good part First, parking is an additional $21 and there is no way to get around unless by car. The front desk will not tell you to you can park in front of the hotel (about 9 spots) to avoid this charge but insist you park in the garage next door (not connected) for the additional fees. Next, the queen size rooms are way too small. I had to move furniture so we could navigate throughout the room. The biggest problem is the hotel is built over the interstate (i90) so you listen to cars rumbling underneath you all night and when you get a motorcycle going through - the whole building vibrates. To sum up if you like tight, crammed quarters with the soothing tones of rush hour traffic serenading you 24 hours a day this place is for you otherwise skip this hotel.
“It was okay, the bed and pillows were a little hard. Max and Leos is really good.”
The hotel is nice, there is a pharmacy close by and some places to eat walking distance.
“Very happy with the hotel”
Our stay was very pleasant. Room was large and comfortable with very big windows with a panoramic view so that my sometime claustrophobia didn't have a chance. Parking and wireless are extra and breakfast buffet, while good, wasn't cheap. But overall we were very happy and plan to stay there again.
“It's fine”
The overall impression of the hotel was that it was a little dated in the decor, although it appeared that there have been attempts to cosmetically modernize. It was great to have a place to sit at the end of the bed, but the desk chair hit it when sitting, and getting past it was tough. The position of dresser holding the TV should have been changed with the desk to get past the problem. Also it would have been helpful to have more outlets for charging all the items a business traveler needs. And the sink in the bathroom is beautiful, but there was no place to put personal care items.
“Convenient for visit to Harvard University”
Room was clean and comfortable.
“Best balance between price and location-- recommended.”
I wanted a good place to stay while visiting Boston area colleges with my son, and this was a good choice. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the restaurant was adequate when necessary. I had a rental car, and the location was close enough to Boston to be convenient, but not so close as to be very expensive. Depending on your time constraints and traffic, you could probably stay further out for less money, but I didn't want to be too far in case traffic was bad. While I had a car, Boston has great public transportation; I cannot confirm how close the nearest stop is though, so make sure if you want to go that route. The hotel is literally built above the highway, and there is definitely road noise- didn't bother me or my son, but we are good sleepers. If you're sensitive to such things, don't stay there.
“Poor location”
If you aeen't familiar with the area this hotel can be difficult to get to. It is literally over the highway which is cool but noisy and makes navigating difficult. The rooms were clean and the staff was great but the mattress s swayed and uncomfortable.
“Good Experience”
Do not use GPS to get into hotel. Follow Hotel Directions.
“Conveniently located Crowne Plaza Newton Boston”
The hotel is located very conveniently close to Logan and all the other traveling options....its easy to arrange a cab, its nice and clean and even has room service....the one thing which they can do more is to increase the options in restaurant menu
