Perfect End To 2014Posted Jan 2, 2015
Pros: Everything but in particular the adult only sessions for the pool which enable considerable R&R.
Cons: Extended menu in the restaurant for the evening meal.
Location: As a diehard Ballykissangel tv fan I took the opportunity to visit Avoca on a cold rainy afternoon and saw the most amazing scenery en route.
Following a wonderful week with family in Galway to celebrate Christmas it was a stroke of genius to book into the Druids Glen for two nights whilst visiting extended family and seeking a short break before returning to the UK. The facility was more luxurious than I had anticipated BUT more relevant was the outstanding courtesy and constant goodwill from every member of staff: reception, housekeeping, bar staff, health club attendants. The Druids Glen workforce personify all that represents outstanding customer care. They are a credit to the organisation. I enjoyed the experience so much that I'm funding for my son and daughter-in-law to spend a few days short break later in 2015 - including travel from the UK. I cannot recommend the hotel more highly.

Very nice resort. Room was comfortable and the best bed we had on our trip to Ireland. Very nice and welcoming bar. Only stayed one night before going to Dublin Airport (45 min easy drive). Only negative was many spots on carpet in hallway and room.

Loved itPosted Sep 20, 2014 on Hotels.com
Perfect break flawed only by the pool changing facilities and almost non-existent room Wi-fi. Bar menu not great.

Avoid the school holidaysPosted Aug 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
Excellent staff, lovely hotel but pick your date carefully. The hotel was very busy when we stayed with many children staying so if you don't like dining in a creche....don't stay when the schools are closed.

One of the very best hotels we've ever visitedPosted Aug 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
From arrival to departure we were very pleased and impressed with all aspects of the hotel. In particular, the hotel's employees at all levels gave a most impressive level of service - always polite., relaxed, friendly , helpful - they are a particular strength (and also a sharp contrast with a few of your competitors!)
