“Would return again!”
Quiet at night . Ideal location, not far from main drag! All within walking distance. Enjoyed breakfast in morning. Can't believe all the negative reviews.
“Everything but a room view of the falls”
This is VERY conveniently located. It is a five minute walk to the Cliff St. entertainment area, 15 minutes to the viewing area for the falls, and 10 minutes to the Sklyon tower. There are plenty of eating places close by.
“Would go back :)”
Had a wonderful stay there and would most defiantly go back again :)
“"Go somewhere else if possible"”
How about finding soiled mens underwear in your supposedly cleaned and changed bed upon bed time ? Needless to say that was a major turnoff for a family stay. The halls are musty and the breakfast area dirty with limited selections. The only positives are the location and a nice air conditioning unit. Will never stay at a Baymont again after this experience.
“Has its good and bad”
We stayed at this hotel a couple of weeks ago. What we liked about it was that it was a couple blocks from the craziness of Clifton Hill area, but close enough within walking distance to it and the Falls area. The breakfast was sufficient , but the eating area was WAY TOO SMALL. Pushy patrons, rude guests, etc. The staff was nice and helpful and on the 4th day we finally found out from the breakfast lady that we could of sat in the adjoining restaurant to eat. That would of been nice to know 3 days earlier. The pool was way smaller than the pictures show . Also, our air conditioner in our room did not work well and the room had a funny smell. By the 4th day, it completely shut down but the staff moved us two doors down to a much nicer, cooler room. The staff was very nice. One more thing, the parking was awful. Not enough spaces for all the patrons. You either didnt move your car, or if you did , you better get it back before too late or else you would not have a spot to park in later. So there were good and bad things about the hotel, but we got a good price for our stay and made the best of it.
“Not worth the money”
The room and bathroom were very small. The walls were paper thin. We could hear a loud child in the next room all night long. The view is the parking lot. There was only one person running the busy front desk on a Sunday afternoon in July. The breakfast area was too small to accomadate all the guests, and they ran out of some of the food by 8:30 AM. This was not an inexpensive hotel, so I expected more. Spend the extra money and stay in a room with a view of the Falls.
“Would never go back.”
After checking in we were moved to another room while bringing in our bags as they said the door would not work on our original room. Once in the second room we found the frame on the bed broken and it rocked all the way to the floor. We then were moved again to a room where we found wet towels still hanging in the bathroom. The paint was peeling off the bathroom ceiling and it was covered with mold. Next morning we found no wash cloths, no coffee for the brewer and no room to sit for breakfast. Would never return.
“Value but near honky tonk section of town”
Spent 4 nights at hotel in late July 2010. The room on the 4th floor was spacious with 2 queen beds and clean. The biggest criticism was the advertised "wifi" did not work but I was able to connect to other hotels closeby or use the hotel computer off the lobby. The other major issue was parking, which is a big problem in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Technically there may have been enough spaces for all guests but it was a challenge. The room rate was quite fair versus the competition, so it allowed you to spend money on other things. The hotel is located where Victoria Ave. turns into Ferry Street and it is very busy. We were there mostly during the week but the hotel definitely attracts the young drinking crowd on the weekends.
“Good place to stay”
We stayed for three nights. The location was great and the continentical breakfest was very good. My 10-year old doughter did not like the indoor pool. It is pretty small and the water was too warm during the period we stayed.
“Bad Hotel”
Even though the personal reception was very nice, and that the breakfast was good, the hotel room wasn’t very clean, I found a weird insect in the bathroom, the sheets had stains, the rug looked dirty and the place needs an urgent renovation, even though the bathroom was renovated. I had some problems the last night I was there, with some people disturbing everyone in the middle of the night, they were also staying in the hotel, the whole scandal involved screaming, unnecessary noises, they were also saying bad words, banging on walls and doors, it started around 9:00 pm and it lasted until 3:00 am, and the hotel employees didn’t do nothing to intervene with these people. It seemed for me they deserved expulsion from the hotel. In the morning when I went to do my check-out I saw that the hallway and lobby were very dirty filled with trash residue thrown by those people. In definitely I don’t recommend this hotel.
