Nice hotel but a little too expensive for location

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: Clean, no bad smell
Cons: New security guard
Location: Everything is within walking distance
Everything was great until we tried to leave. We thought we would just drop our keys off at the desk but there were guest there who had damaged their room in a big fight and they were taking up the counter space. The hotel was trying to evict them and get them to pay for the damages. They, of course, were refusing. The security guard made us go to another location and would not let us leave even though we did not need to go to the counter to check out. We should have been allowed to just leave. We were forced to endure this for over 30 minutes. Not happy with the security guard.

Nice clean hotel, conveniently located

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: It is very conveniently located and affordable.
Cons: Short of adding an elevator, I can't really say it needs anything more to be a good place to spend the night in Niagara Falls.
Location: Within walking distance (furthest is 10 min away) to most attractions in Niagara Falls (Clifton Hill, Table Rock Centre, Skylon Tower, etc.)
Very friendly and helpful staff. We arrived early and they offered to hold our luggage while we grabbed lunch. Our check-in time was 3pm but our room was ready an hour early. When we left they called a taxi to take us back to the train station. The room was “no frills” and did the job it was intended to do, Air conditioning worked well, beds were comfortable. Nitpickers could point out the television was not a flat screen, towels were a little rough, that there were no mini-fridge) but then again if you visit Niagara Falls you want a place to sleep, not spend the day. Please note that, as a guest, you are encouraged to re-use your linens and towels but beds are made regardless. If you want fresh linen you only need to indicate it by placing the card on your bed. Some people might see this as a negative but we had no issues with this policy. Our room cards got demagnetized on day two but a quick walk to the reception desk and a few clicks of the mouse later and the staff gave us access to the room again. Please note that there are no elevators, so those with big luggage might find it an inconvenient to use the stairs but you only need to go one flight up as there are not many floors and I’m sure the staff would be willing to help you if you’d asked them to. You do need to exit the hotel to access the heated pool as it is not enclosed, but you barely need to walk more than a few steps out the door to get there. No complaints and agreeable stay.

Old, shabby, and no extras.

Posted Jul 1, 2014
Wouldn't recommend. Bedding looked 100 years old!! And had dry crusty stuff on comforter, which I'm assuming was some kind of bodily fluid... YUK!!! No extras like breakfast, not even a WEGO pass!!! So as a result we are all very sore and blistered from walking everywhere. What appeared to be a good deal turned out not to be.

nice

Posted Jun 29, 2014
Pros: not fancy, good service and close to everything
Cons: some things like decor could be updated and new telephones.
Location: We went to see the Falls and ate at Vinny's. We wanted one that was close to Marineland.
It was a two night stay, nothing fancy my only complaint was the phone didn't work but we made due.

Room was fine

I liked this hotel for the convenience. It is walking distance to the casino and lots of places to dine are ion walking distance as well. It's a basic hotel...good for a night stay ...there was not a continental breakfast, but parking was cheaper than other hotels. The room appeared to be clean...my only complaint would be that the stairwells had a terrible smell in them.
