Birthday celebration for grand childrenPosted May 11, 2015
Pros: Plenty to do for everyone
Cons: The buffet was way over priced and the food quality was not good, We requested a late ck out and were told it was a $55.00 charge, kind of bush league
Location: Several great restaurants and were within a 20 minute drive. after tasting the Buffet food we did go to a local restaurant and were very pleased.
we were checked into our room within 45 minutes of arriving, everything explained to us and directions given. as I had 5 grand children and 6 adults there was pleny for everyone to do from the water park which was fantastic to the Magi quest the kids and adults were all happy and tired at the end of the day..

Great place for kidsPosted May 2, 2015
Pros: The waterpark, the loft suite
Cons: The double standard re noise
Location: Lovely grounds and close to all attractions
This hotel is full of terrific activities for kids 12 and under Our teen birthday weekend was fun but...the thirteen year old girl giggling at 11 PM was met with a warning of a 10 PM noise curfew, by security. Unfortunately, at 630 am when little ones were running and screaming down the hallway, no security was in place to remind parents that other patrons may not be thrilled by the early morning wake up.

Expensive night - Cheap treatment!Posted Apr 27, 2015
Pros: The water park is nice for kids under 12
Cons: See above
We made a reservation for 5 people in a double room and requested a rollaway bed for the extra person. Upon check-in at 2:00 p.m the clerk acknowledged the request. After we made several follow up calls to the front desk 2 blankets and 2 pillows were delivered to the room (6pm) and when asked if the rollaway bed would follow the staff person making the delivery said..."we've been out of those since 3:00 this afternoon. The hotel manager blamed staff for not telling us at check-in...and said they can't guarantee availability. Had we known that we would never have made the reservation. When you pay $400 for a night you expect everyone will have a bed!!!! And you don't expect to have only I partly used roll of toilet paper in the room at check-in with only one extra provided after we ran out. If they paid as much attention to customer service as they do to themed decor and fee based activities this could have been a 5 star experience. As it was, the water park rates a 4 but the hotel service deserves no more than 1-2

Getaway for the KidsPosted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: The friendly, knowledgeable staff, in-room refrigerator, comfortable room with balcony and many attractions within the hotel for all ages.
Cons: The 3-year-old ate free at the buffet, but for the amount the little ones eat, maybe have a lower price for kids 4-7 for their meals.
Location: Location is fine, easy over the border from USA.
Two adults and two kids, ages 9 & 3, visited the Great Wolf Lodge for 2 nights and 3 days, expecting to have fun in the water park. There was so much more to enjoy. Magic Quest was a big hit for the 9-year-old, who had to finish 10 quests. The little one was thrilled to wave her Magic Quest wand around to make treasure chests open and other pictures light up and "talk." Getting the moose, bear and tree to talk by placing her hand onto a hand print also impressed her. Story time filled the lobby and it was fun watching the kids and adults participate. The water park had pools, slides and more for all ages. When we were driving away, we were talking about "when we come back".

Family focused hotel.Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: See above.
Cons: Hours of the pools & waterslides could be extended as 8pm was ridiculously early. Cleanliness could be improved. Dark hallways need more lighting
Location: Clifton Hill Niagara Falls and tour behind it Butterfly conservatory
There were many things that we liked about this place such as the activities for the children. However, we felt that given the price of the room that there were a lot of "add on" costs that were pretty much hidden and like "tourist traps". For the price of this vacation we would have expected more to be included and not to be dimed to death every time we turned around. Given that there were no kitchens in the rooms/suites, it certainly would have been nice to have affordable meals and snack options for the family. Fast food, pizza etc were not exactly pleasing for a longer stay. And the buffet left a great deal to be desired for the cost of it. Therefore we found that we were having to leave the hotel to go elsewhere for meals. With the waterslides and pools being the biggest draw for the family vacation, it was VERY disappointed that this area closed at 8pm at night. As this is the main focus of the resort, we would have liked to have seen this open until at the very least 9pm, if not 10pm to accommodate the family to get more use out of the facility. The staff were friendly for the most part. The hallways were very dark and for people with vision issues this could pose a serious issue. Parking was good and accessible. Generally clean facilities, although we did find a qtip in our hideabed and one behind it even after cleaning staff had been in and we had NOT used any qtips. YUCK. Overall it was just okay. I wouldn't travel across country again for this.

Good for familiesPosted Apr 4, 2015
Great waterpark, restaurants on site, nice rooms, other entertainment on site like bowling and arcade, and friendly staff. Most people seem like they come here for only a night or two and don't leave the property. We stayed for four nights and still did a lot of the Niagara attractions in the morning and would go to the water park in the afternoons. Can't imagine who would stay here without kids though; it's all about the little ones here.

Cons: Meals at hotel were overpriced
Waterpark was too cold. Ridiculous to charge for lockers when room is unavailable and there is nowhere else to store your belongings
