Quiet Time

Posted Oct 11, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly
Cons: Curfew! Rules, Quiet Time.
Location: NIagara Falls
I recognize that when you stay at a resort that is "kid Friendly" it will be busy and at times, noisy. What I didnt expect that there would be absolutely no control over the small children, running up and down the halls at ALL hours of the night and into the early morning! I literally did not sleep. It was a 300.00 trip to a waterpark. I would have been better off sleeping in my car. The staff were friendly and when I called the front desk to ask about the noise they said they would send someone up and I can only assume that they did. However, the noise continued until at least 3am. I guess the question here is, where are the parents of these poorly mannered, disrespectful children? I was with my child and I allowed hin to venture around the hotel, however, he did not nor would he ever run around, slam doors and cause any disturbance! Great Wolf Lodge needs to enforce rules about noise and set some kind of reasonable ( I would say midnight) curfew. I wlll never return and I regret that I spent the money. It's is geared toward small children only, there was nothing for my 12 year old.

Great fun family getaway

Great family resort, very close to niagara falls. The kids had the time if their life both in the Aqua park and chasing the Magic quest around the resort

Great family getaway

Posted Sep 4, 2014
Pros: Water park and other kids activities. Staff was great too.
Cons: Pillows and toilet paper. Pillows were a little hard and tp was a lot sandpapery.
Location: Went to see the falls as well.
Went with my 6 year old son, 8 year old niece and sister (who prefers I not mention her age). We had such a great time with the kids. There was so much for them to do. Rooms were cute, the kids loved their bunk beds and special area. Not a five star experience but I wasn't expecting it to be. I got what I expected in that the water park and other activities were top notch. Will definitely go again but will stay two nights instead of just one, there was that much to experience.

Excellent hotel to have fun at

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: The water park.
Cons: Kleenex in the rooms would be nice.
Location: Niagrara Falls. We did the Canadian side one day and the American side the day we left. Word to the wise parking is expensive and hard to find.
My grandchildren had a blast at the water park. You could pay with American dollars, but you received your change in Canadian dollars. Even though I have bad knees I did enjoy riding some of the slides, not as much as I would like. My husband had a blast with the kids and enjoyed it way more than he thought he would.

Good Idea but mediocre execution

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Its' close proximity to Niagara Falls
Cons: Food, entertainment choices for adults
This was our first time in Great Wolf Lodge, and i can say for sure, last. The rooms were overpriced , there is very little to do for toddlers my daughters' age, food choices are very poor, everything closes early. I understand this is a theme park for children but those children do travel with their parents who might want to relax by themselves at the bar, out of the way somewhere.

Big place! Loud and expensive

Posted Sep 1, 2014
Fine for kids from bout 8-12. Very loud and busy. Too expensive. Short staffed on waterslides which makes slow/unnecessay lineups. Hallways really really long. Elevators way too few and busy.

Family stay for one night

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: We loved the water park and the room was very spacious. Aldo the staff were very helpful.
Cons: It was very busy but that is good for the hotel, not so great for the guests with the wait time for all the slides etc.
Location: The Niagara falls were great but extremely busy. There is heap to do in Niagara but it is all very commercialised.
We had a fabulous time at the lodge. It was unfortunate that our flight and subsequently our drive to the lodge was delayed. We didn't get to enjoy the facilities for as long as we would have liked. The food package is really great value if you are interested in not cooking for yourself and the food was great. I would definitely recommend this to anyone but you have to stay longer than one night as you do not get to take advantage of the lodge to the extent that you could do.
