We stayed at Green Oaks for 2 nights. It was our first experience at a B & B. The host, Trish, was very accommodating and knowledgable about the area. She served a delicious breakfast each morning according to our needs. Upon our return to Canada we would defintely stay here again. We had a wonderful experience at Green Oak Bed and Breakfast.

Nice B&B near Ravine Winery

Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: Excellent accomodation, personable host, delicious breakfast, great advice on what to see and do. We liked the rural location near wineries.
Cons: No. We will come back.
Location: Niagara Falls, walking & biking trails along the Niagara river, butterfly conservatory and horticultural garden, theatre, shopping in Niagara-on-the
My husband and I had a lovely stay at Green Oaks B&B--our host was attentive, cheerful, and knowledgeable and gave us good advice on what to see and do locally, and where to eat. The accommodations themselves were excellent--we had a very comfortable room with King bed and private bathroom, with nice touches like a fridge for guests who buy wine and wine glasses/corkscrew/ candles in the room for a romantic get away. We spent our first day in Niagara-on-the-lake having planned to take in the Shaw festival, but the highlight of our trip was the food: dinner at Trius Hillebrand winery restaurant, lunch at Ravine winery restaurant (just next door to Green Oaks) and breakfast at Green Oaks (scones, fruit crumble, a lovely egg frittata, salad, bacon, hashbrowns--it will keep you going for the day). We had a lovely hike along the Niagara river and trip to Niagara Falls nearby. Next time we will rent bikes and bike along the river. The rural location is close to wineries, quiet and near excellent trails. We didn't have time for any winery tours, but we will be back again with our 10 yr old (Green Oaks has a great family suite available too) to explore the area in more depth.

Our stay was very enjoyable. The location is in a nice part of town with vineyards and lovely neighbouring homes. Our breakfast was beautiful with lovely homemade produce.

First B&B Experience

Posted Sep 3, 2014
Pros: The overall homey feeling of the house was great and the breakfasts were first rate.
Cons: Part of the weekend was extremely humid and the air conditioning unit was not the best.
Location: There were some great vinyards nearby as well as Olde Towne being just a few minutes up the road.
This was our first time at a B&B and it was a very nice visit. Trish makes you feel very welcome and provides a great deal of suggestions for things to see in the area.

Nice place

Posted Aug 18, 2014
Was a nice place with a fabulous breakfast. I only wish somebody had mentioned that it is a stones throw from Ravine Winery which is known to have some of the best food in the area but reservations are imperative if you wish to dine there for supper.

Great Location wonderful breakfast

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Trish is a wonderful host with lots of knowledge about the area. She makes the most delicious breakfasts. The B and B is located a 15 minute drive to Niagara on the Lake and also to Niagara Falls. It is located right in front of the Ravine winery ( delicious dinner), it's close enough to walk. We had a wonderful 4 day stay.

It is a nice change from the hustle and bustle of downtown Niagara on the Lake. The room was great and the shower was fantastic.

Canadian charm

Far enough from Niagra Falls to be peaceful and calming, this lovely B and B was a delight. With great rooms and wonderful breakfasts I found it to be a perfect place to start a wine tour from or visit Niagra-on-the-Lake, as well as the Falls.
