“A priceless gem!”
Absolutely wonderful and quaint hotel! Our first trip to Niagara on the Lake, as well as Canada. This hotel was the most pleasant surprise. And the town is so neat as well. The hotel, which truly is more like an upscale Inn, was only 1 block from Lake Ontario and walking distance to town. Wine and cheese in the afternoon was a nice touch, and breakfast was wonderful. But the true gems were the staff. The gentleman who checked us in was so friendly, funny and accommodating- which was a common feature among all the staff. The room was very nice, large jetted tubs, heated bathroom floors, fireplace and comfortable king bed. It was very intimate and quiet. Absolutely amazing experience! So sad we could only stay 1 night. Oh, and definitely eat at Zees- the sister hotel's restaurant. The food was impeccable, original and delicious! We definitely want to come back! If only Texas weren't so far :)

“We LOVED it!!!!!!”
We booked this room for four nights for our honeymoon. We were beyond impressed with the staff, room, breakfast, location, everything!! The staff was always accomodating, made our spa reservations, offered wine and cheese when we would come back from a day out, fresh cookies everyday, shuttle rides to wherever we asked to go. We will DEFINITELY be back every year for our anniversary!! We didn't want to leave!
“R & R a place you want to stay in the room.”
What a find. This property is beautiful in a beautiful area. No need to drive, park and walk or the staff will accomodate any transportation needs. Harbour House deserves and earns the superb star review.
“Great for couples”
Great location, terrific staff, excellent food. Cant wait to return.
“A Rare Gem - one of the best in Niagara on the Lak”
Harbour House is a rare gem - built only a few years ago and in tip-top condition, yet with all the charm of a fine old inn that you look for in a place like Niagara on the Lake. Very short walk to the center of everything, but just enough to the edge of town for comfort, quiet and easy self parking. Most exceptional is the staff - warm, friendly and truly helpful. Any request is honored immediately. But most requests are not needed, because the staff already takes care of so many more things that one would have asked for.
“Loved it!”
the Harbour Inn was very nice. Beautiful and comfortable accomadations..lovely view overlooking the Niagara River. Walking distance to great restaurants.
“Fantastic hotel”
We stayed at this hotel for one night in Dec 2009. When we booked the room we were looking for a nice romantic room with a fireplace. The hotel ended up meeting our expectations and more. The staff was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Since we showed up just after their daily wine tasting, they were kind enough to send two glasses of wine, cheese, and fruit up to our room for us to enjoy. The room itself was extremely clean and comfortable, and they had music playing softly on the radio for when we entered (there were also cookies!) They recommended a wonderful place for dinner and even offered to make reservations and shuttle us there. Being able to soak in the tub and then curl up next to the fire before going to bed was a wonderful experience too. The breakfast downstairs was delicious, and even if you plan on staying in bed all day, at least make it down for the food. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in NOTL or going to the falls (only 20-30 minute drive). We will likely be back in the future as we got engaged at the falls, and Harbour House will definitely be the first place we look to for reservations
“Quaint Hotel by the Heart of NOTL”
Beautiful hotel, setting, everything! The breakfast was very good (not quite as extravagant as the other reviews made it out to be). The hotel has a wine tasting every evening at 4 which was lovely, along with a DVD collection to borrow from. It's a 10-15 minute walk from downtown Niagara on the Lake (NOTL) which has many shops and restaurants to offer. The hotel also has a free shuttle service that you can use for dinner reservations at any of the surrounding wineries. It's about a 25 minute drive from Niagara Falls, which we also visited. I will be returning to the Harbour House - it has the quaintness of a B&B with more privacy (as the rooms are very hotel like). It is the PERFECT combination. I recommend this hotel to everyone! For families traveling with small children (this comment is coming from someone who loves children) - there were a few families staying at the time we were there with extremely well behaved children - these children were a pleasure. My recommendation is, because of the nature of the majority clientele, children are fine to bring here, BUT if your children are a bit unpredictable / unruly (as many children are - which is fine :-) you may be more comfortable staying elsewhere. I could anticipate some of the other clientele being very finicky about children being around, and no parent likes to receive bad looks or even comments when their children misbehave.
