“Helpful and Accommodating Staff”

Check-in staff was very helpful with accommodating our special needs at check-in and during our stay. Restaurant staff graciously loaned us dishes, silverware and wine glasses allowing us to have a wine and cheese dinner in an alcove in the lobby.

“Modern, clean, and comfortable”

My wife and I stayed here on a recent holiday weekend trip to Canada, and were very pleased. We were greeted warmly when we arrived, and the staff was very friendly and helpful whenever we had a question. The room and bathroom were modern and very clean, and everything (from the shower drain to the wireless network) worked. One thing we especially appreciated was that "non-smoking" really meant non-smoking--the entire wing was set aside for that purpose. The fitness room was small (with 2 elliptical machines, 2 treadmills, and a set of free weights), but sufficient for me and the one other person using it. The small indoor pool and spa were in great condition, and had a nice view out to a patio and small woods. The only slight negative was that I found the mattress too hard (and I like firm mattresses). I have spent twice this much for a hotel room that offered far, far less for the money. We would definitely stay here again.

“Very nice place to stay!”

Although a bit pricy, the Hilton Garden Inn-Niagara on the Lake was worth it. You definitely need a car as it is located more inland, between the Niagara Falls/tourist area, and Niagara on the Lake. They have an excellent breakfast buffet for $12.95 per person plus tax. Our room was super clean. The only complaint we have is that our room had an unusual smell to it-otherwise we had a great stay. Staff was very nice and helpful. The homemade, chewy cookies in the lobby were tasty as well.

“Pleasant surprise”

My experience was very positive. Staff was very courteous and attentive. Room was very clean, so was fitness center. This is a very well kept place. As to the reviewer mentioning slow drain in the tub, thank you for sharing. I simply removed drain cover and had no problems at all.

“Recent stay”

My Husband and I really enjoyed out stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was bright and clean. Our room was well stocked with coffee and condiments. We did not have the chance to take advantage of the pool or the bar & restaurant areas however they did appear to be well populated.

“Niagara falls stay”

We had a good stay although did not spend a lot of time in the room overall. Found the front desk staff exceptionally courteous, went out of their way to help, and were very informative.

“Great for a wine tasting get away”

The Hilton Garden Inn was clean, comfortable, and a place we'd choose to stay again. The staff was helpful in providing directions to the wineries and attractions that were closeby for us to see. Niagara-on- the- Lake is a beautiful area to visit and great for retired people to stay during the week.
