The Perfect Bed & Breakfast!

Posted Apr 13, 2015
Pros: We loved our hostess, the extreme cleanliness of the B&B, and the close proximity to main attractions.
Cons: Nothing could be improved! It was perfect!!
My mother and I recently stayed at this Bed & Breakfast for my birthday and I can't say enough nice things about it! Our hostess was extremely accomodating, very friendly, and a great chef! The accomodations were very comfortable, updated, and EXTREMELY clean. This B&B was thoughtfully stocked with snacks, sweets, drinks, DVD's, etc., right down to the water pitcher in your room. Whatever reservations needed to be made while we were there, our hostess picked up the phone and took care of everything. We absolutely will reserve this wonderful B&B in the near future!!

Wine and Sun

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Within walking distance of the main road, it had a lovely atmosphere, was beautifully kept and clean and our hostess very welcoming
Cons: nothing
Location: Close to Niagara on the Lake, many wine farms and good theatre. And of course all the good restaurants.
Two lovely days visiting Niagara on the Lake, Niagara Falls and some lovely wine farms, with some theatre and good dining inbetween. Lovely experience.

Started one day should have stayed longer.

This is a wonderful B&B in an equally as delightful city. Both the accommodations and the host were wonderful. Our breakfast eclipsed our expectations. We will return but our next stay will be for at least three days.

Quaint B&B Close to Downtown NOTL

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Everything about our stay at John's Gate was fantastic. The place is owned and run by a fantastic woman who readily helps you with anything you need. She saved us over $100 on bike rentals and wine touring by supplying us with the same package as two $69 tours for $25 each! Then when we got soaking wet one evening she put our clothes in the dryer for us and delivered them to us less than an hour later. Her breakfast is superb (3 courses with a delicious smoked salmon-egg meal as the entree) and overall her demeanor is that of a proud B&B owner. She is quite strict about her rules and this is so that she can maintain such high quality in her guest rooms and so make sure you respect that. Overall, I would go back to this B&B anytime I stay in NOTL.

Clean, comfortable & quiet with gourmet breakfast!

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: It was clean, cozy, and comfortable and the breakfast was incredible!
Location: Shopping, restaurants, antiques, wineries, walking, biking, theatre.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience here. Our room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. We were only a 10-15 minute walk from all of the shops and restaurants on Queen St. The breakfast each morning was fabulous and we will definitely be staying here again next time we go to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Comfortable, but formal.

Posted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Although my wife and I were satisfied with our room, we prefer a more relaxed atmosphere. Shoes off is not our style.(We were unnecessarily reminded of this on several occasions to the point of being annoying.) We also did not feel comfortable relaxing in the Victorian-style living room. We enjoyed one breakfast, The other one, not so much. We might go back but it wouldn't be our first choice.
