Wine and Sun

Posted Aug 29, 2014
Pros: Within walking distance of the main road, it had a lovely atmosphere, was beautifully kept and clean and our hostess very welcoming
Cons: nothing
Location: Close to Niagara on the Lake, many wine farms and good theatre. And of course all the good restaurants.
Two lovely days visiting Niagara on the Lake, Niagara Falls and some lovely wine farms, with some theatre and good dining inbetween. Lovely experience.

Started one day should have stayed longer.

This is a wonderful B&B in an equally as delightful city. Both the accommodations and the host were wonderful. Our breakfast eclipsed our expectations. We will return but our next stay will be for at least three days.

Quaint B&B Close to Downtown NOTL

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Everything about our stay at John's Gate was fantastic. The place is owned and run by a fantastic woman who readily helps you with anything you need. She saved us over $100 on bike rentals and wine touring by supplying us with the same package as two $69 tours for $25 each! Then when we got soaking wet one evening she put our clothes in the dryer for us and delivered them to us less than an hour later. Her breakfast is superb (3 courses with a delicious smoked salmon-egg meal as the entree) and overall her demeanor is that of a proud B&B owner. She is quite strict about her rules and this is so that she can maintain such high quality in her guest rooms and so make sure you respect that. Overall, I would go back to this B&B anytime I stay in NOTL.

Clean, comfortable & quiet with gourmet breakfast!

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: It was clean, cozy, and comfortable and the breakfast was incredible!
Location: Shopping, restaurants, antiques, wineries, walking, biking, theatre.
We had an absolutely wonderful experience here. Our room was very comfortable and impeccably clean. We were only a 10-15 minute walk from all of the shops and restaurants on Queen St. The breakfast each morning was fabulous and we will definitely be staying here again next time we go to Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Good location - ten minute walk from main street. Very quiet. Definitely a gourmet breakfast, as advertised. Super clean & beautifully decorated. The landscaping also was very beautifully maintained and comfortable outside seating.

Warm and Cozy Place

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: We had an amazing gourmet breakfast while getting to know our guests and the owner.
Cons: None.
Location: Very convenient location near central town of Niagara on the Lake, bicycle rental place nearby, and an outlet mall was recently opened.
The hotel was very clean and cozy. Enjoyed the antinque paintings, furnishings, and cutlery. Customer service was top of the line. Fresh gourmet breakfast in which you will be full until late noon. Beautiful, and quite neighbourhood. I enjoyed walking to the central location while viewing the victorian real estate homes.

Great relaxing days in B and B

Very nice personal attention from our wonderful innkeeper Meheroo. Our room and breakfast were outstanding. Bathroom and bedroom were comfortable and spotless all necessary items were available the same as in a full service hotel such as hairdryer, toilet items, complimentary drinks in room refrigerator and many more. We lacked for nothing,Meheroo made arrangements for daily activities as needed and supplied us with discount coupons for local restaurants and wineries. She also made arrangements for tours in the area. Will definitely return and had a lovely visit.
