Nice hotel being renovated

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Our stay started with an hour wait in line while one person manually checked everyone in. The computers were down. The staff brought wine and beer to cheer us up which was thoughtful. There were so many staff members just standing around it didn't make sense why only one man was helping check people in. This was the only negative of our stay. You are currently renovating, I look forward to returning and seeing the finished state.

Very Disappointed

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Distance to Niagara Falls
Cons: Customer Service
Room was clean but TV did not work. Front desk was hard to reach and when reachable was rude. Will not stay again.

Such a quaint hotel with a B&B feel to it. Staff were extremely friendly and warm, and they went above and beyond with the little extras.

Good hotel, could use more in-room amenities

Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Quiet, rustic atmosphere made it very comfortable, room was clean and staff were very polite.
Cons: Fridge, microwave or at least coffee makers in the room. Very inconvenient, especially when staying more than 1 night.
Location: Out of the hub of traffic. Close walk to various restaurants, casino, Clifton Hill.
We stayed at the Old Stone Inn for a couple of days, while we were in Niagara Falls to get married. We were in the bridal suite with Jacuzzi tub. The room was extremely clean, spacious and the staff were very friendly to deal with. We enjoyed staying here; however, the downside was that the room did not have a fridge, microwave or coffee maker in it. Found it very inconvenient especially because we stayed longer than one night as we had to use a cooler that we brought with us (thank goodness we brought it) to keep our beverages cold. We weren't able to bring any leftovers back from any meals we had because we had nowhere to keep them or reheat them. Also did not like having to get dressed and go downstairs to get a coffee in the morning, would have been nice to have one in the room especially when getting ready for our wedding day. Given the size of the room, there is definitely space for this type of station to be included/accommodated. Aside from that, we didn't mind walking to and from the sights as the hotel is a bit out of the way of the hustle and bustle that is in Niagara Falls. The hotel had a lot of parking on site which was also convenient.

Great place to stay close to all activities

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: As above
Cons: Very limited counter space in bathroom
Location: Most all attractions to Niagara Falls is within walking distance.....the falls itself....Clifton hills, many restaurants
We stayed at this hotel before and went back. We like where it is situated within walking distance of most attractions. The wego bus line travels and has stops at the hotel. Very clean

Well located to the Falls

The warren of hallways, doors, and corridors to just find our rooms was ridiculous. There was no key access to any of the outside doors that would give a more efficient entry and we had to go through the lobby every time. A map of the hotel layout would have helped. Rooms lacked things like glasses or coffee pot.

Riding an old reputation

Posted Jul 7, 2015
The hotel design is so poorly laid out it is indescribably inconvenient. The WIFI didn't work and the solution offered by the staff was "walk around your room and see if that helps." However, that irritation is nothing compared to the horrible staff. I caught one in a lie and later in another to my spouse. The same one who was rolling his eyes while on the phone with a guest who was seeking information. The second staff member was asked for directions and gave them as though he were speaking to a town resident instead of a visitor. When the guest asked for more detail, the staff member became rude.
