Absolutely luxurious facility.

You feel welcome and catered to from the moment you step in the door until the minute you leave. They really go the extra mile. I went to the on site restaurant and got salads and tea for a late dinner in our room and the server carried the tray right to our room for me, they have free shuttle service to and from town which is not quite a mile away. Beautiful pool with pool side service for lunch and beverages. Very pretty and comfortable room, the nightly rose on my pillow was a nice touch. Lovely flowers inside and out. Very helpful desk staff. We were there in May and went back for Labor day weekend so that should say it all.

Only one chair for 2 occupants

Pros: Beautiful gardens, very well kept, eye pleasing
Cons: Better vacuuming, carpets look tired, especially in dining area
Location: Lovely Main Street, touristy, but that's Niagara
Evening food not the greatest, we ate out the second night for this very reason.

Book into the wrong place.

Pros: Nice location
Cons: over priced!
I booked online the pillar and post but somehow ends up at the Queen's Landing. Very disappointed with the entire experience.

It had lots of character

The gardens were beautiful. The staff was very friendly. And we liked the shuttle service to the winery. The room was very clean and comfortable. We especially loved the hot springs. We would definitely stay there again.

A Great Week

Cons: Give us the Toronto Star not what you currently give us
We haved stayed a week at the Pillar and Post almost every year since 1982. That we keep coming back says more than mere words. Bob Gaines

Fantastic Place to Stay

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Not cheap, but our stay was very enjoyable! We took advantage of the on site restaurant for dinner, as well as the patio for lunch by the pool. Both were excellent. We also took the time to visit the downtown core and a vineyard, and found that there was really no need to leave the hotel. We will stay there again when in the area. Very relaxing. Our only regret was not staying for more than one night.

Lovely hotel with great pool

Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: The location, the rooms, the staff all super terrific.
Cons: The buffet breakfast was uninspiring and slightly overpriced. I did not try the lunch or dinner service.
Location: Easy 10 minute walk to main shopping streets and Shaw festival theaters, easy drive to wineries.
Stayed at Pillar and Post with my teenage daughter. Great room, wonderful property and really nice staff. The hotel was full to capacity because it was peak season, but it did not feel crowded. Really nice indoor and outdoor pools, really nice indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. 10 minute walk to the main shopping street or on-demand shuttle bus service.

Beautiful hotel close walk to downtown

Posted Aug 4, 2014
We only stayed for one night but immediately once we walked in we were amazed by how beautiful the place was. Our room was big and comfortable and the bed was actually very comfortable. It was about a 10min walk to the downtown, but the hotel also has a shuttle available if you don't want to walk. We had breakfast at the restaurant there the next morning and it was just as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. The food was also really good. Although the hotel and food were quite pricy we were very happy with our stay and would definetly stay for a night again in the future.
