Basic accommodations for a low price.

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Close to QEW and easy to get to.
Cons: VERY poor signage from Taylor Road. Better lighting in kitchen area
Very basic dorm style rooms but adequate for a one night stay for me since I was driving through Lighting level very low in rooms. Had refigerator and microwave in room, with TV.

Its not actually a hotel.

First of all this is a college dorm... so you get 2 double beds, in separate rooms. That also means theres no mirrors, alarm/clock/radio or anything. They also charge you for every hour you want to check in early. room is freezing, and there are no controls. staff was hit and miss, some were helpful, most were snobby, and useless. beds were like a board on springs.

Good value for the cost

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Good centralized location if you are driving in the area
Cons: Wireless wifi in the rooms
Good value, clean and comfortable. Not much common space if you want to socialize in your in your room. Need to install wireless wifi throughout the building.

This is NOT a hotel, it is a dorm-style facility.

Pros: It was clean and quite.
Cons: Lighting for sure! Blinds that close. Mirrors in the rooms. TV remotes that work.
Aweful lighting in the washroom, kitchenette and bedrooms...really dull florescent lighting. Bedrooms do not have mirrors. One bedroom had a Daewoo, old style TV. Remote did not work even after new batteries put in. No tissues. No extra toilet rolls. Blinds did not close completely. Front desk staff were very pleasant, so that is a positive. Also, the bathroom was very clean and quite, however there was a very thick layer of dust on the desk lap shade that made me wonder. Bed was clean...not sure how often the bed spreads are washed...my guess is never or rarely, though to be honest, I don't have any proof. Towels were as soft as sand paper, but clean. Overall, no refinements. No luxury. Basic, basic, basic. For an extra $30-$40 night, the Hilton was right next door. It is fine if you are on a budget and don't want anything but the bare minimum.

Dorm life

Posted Jul 15, 2014
It was hard to locate because I was looking for a hotel and was unaware I'd be staying in a dorm. Unfortunately, from the minute we walked thru the door and all the way to our room and inside there was a musty body door smell. I couldn't get the airconditioning to work so had to rely on the breeze from a window that didn't open all the way......then it rained so I had to shut it. Overall it was just a place to sleep and it was close to the golf course so we could watch the tournament. If it didn't smell so horrible and the air actually worked it would have been worth the money. You get what you pay for. In future be clear it is a dorm and not a hotel.

Close to New Mall

Clean accomodations. Could use a sign at the road to show it is on the Niagara College Campus.

Comfortable and No Frills

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: It was clean and the staff was helpful. Ice was free!
Cons: We could not find any serviettes/napkins in the breakfast area.
Location: St. Catharine's and Niagara on the Lake. Outlet Mall and Pen Centre very near.
We were in Niagara on the Lake for a funeral and needed a "not too pricey" place to stay overnight. Googled Niagara on the Lake Convention Centre and the booking process that followed was fast and efficient. the desk staff was very helpful and we were comfortable. The Continental breakfast was adequate.

Great Stay for Families

Posted Jul 6, 2014
The hotel is located right at the turn-off for Niagara on the Lake, making it a perfect location to visit either the Falls or the Shaw Festival. Every room is a suite- two bedrooms, each with double bed, and a kitchen area with full-sized fridge and microwave. For sports teams and families, it's the perfect way to travel at reasonable cost- clean, Continental breakfast included, well-constructed to block noise from room to room. It's always our first choice when visiting this tourist area- and now that we have dined at the College's Benchmark restaurant- we wouldn't stay anywhere else!
