Character property well located

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Arrived at 1pm but room was not available - rather inexperienced staff member tried to be helpful! Property is located very close to Falls and access to Goat Island - all easily walkable. Room eventually provided about 3pm - tasteful, fully renovated and excellent character although rather small. Lounge and breakfast room are also excellent. However, restaurant is not open for dinner which is a disappointment given the price of the property and the excellent facilities. Overall a very good stay - staff were helpful and this is a far better option than the ubiquitous chain properties in the area. Very nicely renovated/converted property in good location - would return.

Just a 5 minute walk to the falls.

Posted Sep 2, 2014
Pros: Great friendly staff. Beautiful, wll maintained old building with period art deco decor. Convenient vallet parking.
Location: The falls are just a 5 minute walk away.
Nice old historic building in a great location. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are big too. The rooms are decorated with elegant period art deco wallpaper and have very high ceilings and nice furnishings. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good too, much better than your typical hotel breakfast. This place is expensive, but for special occasions or an occasional splurge it is well worth the price.

Very good hotel, however, over priced.

It's an old, recently renovated hotel. Spacious, clean rooms. They offer free breakfast (basic, nthn fancy). Location is excellent. No hotel facilities. All in all, it's an option although it's really overpriced.

A gem!

Pros: The hotel is within walking distance of the park
Cons: I like the clean, spare look, but wanted a soap dish in the shower
Location: The park has almost everything you could want to do within walking distance. You may also walk across the bridge to Canada
I had heard that the USA side was nothing much. Well, the Giacomo sure is! It is tucked into an old office building which has been turned into residences, mostly. We got there too early to check in, and our bags were taken and stored. We were given a map on how to get to area attractions, right within walking distance. Then we were helpfully directed to the breakfast room and told to help ourselves. We had juice, coffee, eggs, bacon and bagels. We took a second cup of coffee up to the observation lounge and got our bearings with the wonderful view. Then we headed to the park and spent all day seeing the breathtaking views. Use the very reasonably priced trolley to get around. Don't miss Cave of the Winds, Luna Island, Terrapin Point, Three Sisters Islands, and the Observation Tower. Our nice breakfast enabled us to do all of these without getting hungry. We came back to the hotel to check in and have a wine. The room was charming and there were chocolates beside the bed. Don't miss the cookies they put out, also.

Excellent gem on the US side.

Pros: Very nice breakfast included. Valet parking very easy. Pleasant 18th floor lounge/lookout.
Location: Easy walk to the falls, casino, and restaurants.
Superb service. Quality rooms. (What more can I say? This is what you want, so why say more? I guess just so these people who require I write more somehow are appeased. )

nice decoration, Dark rooms

Posted May 25, 2014
Pros: decoration, location
Cons: rooms are very dark
in overall I was happy about it. rooms are clean and location is best. however the weather is cloudy, the rooms are very dark even in early afternoon!! not enough lightening in rooms.... the breakfast was okay and it was nice that it is free but it has very limited options. no pastry, no fruit. warm options were not pleasant at least for my taste. overall after visiting Niagara, I guess I can not expect more from american side probably! I will stay again if I want to visit Niagara...

Great location...excellent staff...Full Marks!

Posted May 9, 2014
Pros: Staff was very welcoming and helpfull
Cons: More Food available
Location: Niagara Falls...Zaika Indian Restaurant
Awesome Experience...I highly recommend same ...once we checked in...we are really had a smooth check-in. Propoer directions were given for all the places around to see. The only one thing which I recommend is to have some kind of food made available in the lobby area for late night party guests! Niagara is a place where guests are enjoying till late and it is good to have some kind of finger food is made available! Otherwise..highly recommended place

Nice hotel, close to the Niagara Falls.

Posted May 3, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: In winter, the rooms are a little cold.
Location: It has a great location and a nice view from the top.
It was a good experience. The hotel is not the best but it is good. It is close to the Niagara Falls and you can get them walking. I had a little setback: I had payed the reservation previously but when I gave them my credit card it was mistakenly charged with 30 dollars and the staff didn't have any explanation. So, the manager promised me the money would be refunded after 1 week and finally so it was.
