FailurePosted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: The female staff is very cordial and friendly
Location: Near a supermarket
We were attracted to the hotel for being Best Western as well as the three star classification. We found a hotel where there was not any social area, and kitchen and dining items. They refused to lend these items claiming that the kitchen was closed. The photos on the hotel are misleading.. The male staff were very unhelpful .The sea view was far from satisfactory. Breakfast is lousy and expensive.

Pleasant stayPosted Jun 2, 2014
Pros: location fridge in room nice view
Cons: Would have paid extra to use the kitchenette if it would have had a microwave or oven but thought it was quite expensive daily just for use of a hob.
Hotel was nice, comfortable and adequate for our 5 night stay. Location was good to get about. Used as a base to go to the Grand Prix Public transport nearby and was good. Was quite noisy outside they seemed to be building in car park next door. Quite pricey compared to some other hotel prices we looked at in Nice.

Ideal for short breakPosted May 27, 2014
Pros: Cleanliness, views and free wi-fi
Cons: facilities and provision of essentials every day
Location: Situated between Cannes and Nice - we went for the Monte Carlo Grand Prix. Lots of very scenic places on the coast nearby. Not a family resort.
The hotel has very easy access onto the beach (not sandy) and beautiful views. It is situated in a very quiet location but would advise you have a car, otherwise a 15 - 20 min walk to the train station. The rooms are very clean and modern but basic. The hotel only provides free tea and coffee on the 1st night, you then have to buy your own. There is no local shop and nowhere to purchase food or snacks in the hotel, so be prepared to bring your own! The hotel lift is tiny just fits one person with one case at a squash. The hotel staff were friendly but varied in helpfulness, unable to sort out no lights working for three days. Generally, it is very clean and good value, with free Wi-Fi, but lacking in facilities.

Good Budget HotelPosted Nov 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Through the Hotels.com website, I reserved a room with two double beds plus a sleep sofa. When we arrived we were informed that the hotel does not have any rooms that fit that description. They said they have informed Hotels.com of this discrepancy but have not been able to get it fixed. The room had one queen bed and one twin/daybed. This was ok for us, but a family with children might have had a problem. The staff was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. The location is somewhat unexciting but close to the more famous Cote D'Azur towns, easily reached by train or driving.

Good but needed attentionPosted Sep 26, 2013 on Hotels.com
Rooms were very clean, beds were comfy, but sliding door wouldn't lock(we were on ground floor), lights were burnt out, hair dryer only worked sometimes. Staff were very friendly

Motel 12km from NicePosted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: Parking outside of room, walking distance to supermarket and restaurants.
Cons: Rooms need airing as they smell of cooking, shuttle to Nice would be great as no parking in Nice.
Location: Need to catch bus to Nice as even parking garages in Nice were full when we drove there in September.
Motel rooms facing beach looked nice, our ground floor room in main building back from the beach was OK, but smelt of previous tenant cooking. Kitchen is located between bedroom and bathroom so smell was throughout bedroom. To open door was very difficult as rollers were not existent. Beach just rocks so not exactly beach when you come from Gold Coast in Australia, but can walk to marina which has restaurants and laundromat.

Hotel Syracuse was perfect for our needsPosted Sep 21, 2013
Pros: The friendly welcome and help at the reception, the hotel was perfect for us
Cons: We found the room a bit noisy at night time due to the road in the front. Should have asked for a room facing the sea.
Location: Of course it is perfect for the sun seekers although the beach is not sandy. Plenty good restaurants within walking distance.
When we booked a week at the Syracuse we did not know the Hotel. But it came to our expectations and more. Right by the beach but I must admit we did not come to the Cote d'Azur for the sea but for travelling inland so the situation was perfect, near the railway station and also we hired a car. Therefore a good base. The reception was so helpful and the girls at the desk were wonderful and helped us with all our queries. The room was basic but clean with a front terrasse and also a kitchenette where you could cook all your meals if you wanted, but we only had our breakfasts and the odd evening snacks. We certainly recommand this residence to anybody.who wants a base.

Pleasant Hotel in Excellent & Beautiful LocationPosted Sep 15, 2013
Pros: The hotel has a fantastic location, it is clean, and the staff are very friendly.
Cons: The mattress was quite hard and the cost of breakfast per person per day was too expensive at 12 Euros!
Location: Excellent location! Some great restaurants by marina. Walkable distance to train station & buses if you want to venture out to Cannes, Nice, Monaco.
Enjoyed a four night stay at the hotel, beautifully located next to the beach and lovely restaurants by the marina. We took advantage of the public transport links within walkable distance from the hotel and ventured out to Cannes, Nice and Monaco. We decided against having breakfast in the hotel due to the cost, but there is a handy supermarket nearby and also a little fridge in the room. Our room was cleaned every day, the staff were very friendly and it was easy to book a taxi to the airport through reception.
