Central hotel in Nice

Posted Jul 26, 2015
Pros: Location, parking for the car, clean
Cons: Some renovation of the bathrooms
Location: Shopping, eating. The best restaurant IMHO of Nice, le flaveur, is very close. Expensive, but lives up to its name!! a wonderfull experience..
We stayed for one night after arriving in Nice from Corsica by ferry. The hotel is centrally located, we could park the car in front of the hotel. The rooms are small and would need a little renovation (bathrooms), but it was clean and functional. The staff has been very friendly and helpfull.

Close to Shops, Restaurants and the Beach

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting Nice in mid July. Very happy with our stay! The hotel was easy to access from the express bus from the airport. Only a short walk (even with suitcases!) from the train station. The hotel is just off of the main shopping street. There is even a Monoprix(grocery store) directly across the street. The room was clean and well planned. There was an entry way with a closet and a door to the bathroom and another to the bedroom. The bathroom was clean and new. We are both quite tall and the shower head was great. The water pressure was FANTASTIC!!! The bedroom was large with a desk, side tables and a flat screen. Our room overlooked the side street of the hotel entrance. There was hardly any road noise. We could hear the metro bells but only while we were awake. The air conditioning worked perfectly. I have two suggestions that would have made our stay outstanding. First would be for the blinds to be fixed so that they completely cover the window. When laying in the bed with the curtains closed you could see clearly out the window as there was a huge gap between the frame and the curtain. We had to use the binder and bible to hold the curtain right to the wall. Second would be for a refrigerator to be placed in the room. It was incredibly hot in Nice when we were there and being able to have a cold drink in the evening would have been amazing. In short: 10 minute walk to beach, 5-10 for restaurant district, shopping right out the door.

Central location

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Overall standard was a little disappointing for a Best Western. The room decor was a little bit tired and could do with a make over. Rollout bed for teenage daughter was not particularly comfortable. Having said all that, room was clean and staff at the hotel were extremely helpful. The location is ideally situated in the centre of Nice, close to beach, the old town plus shops and restaurants.

Nice hotel central location

Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: The location meant great convenience and limited expense to travel around Nice
Cons: Customer information sheet explaining such things as how the tram fares work including recommended tickets for durations of stay
Location: Supermarket next door very handy; easy walk or tram to beach and morning markets - great fruit, soaps and flowers; walk boulevard.
Located between Rail station and Beach on tram line is very convenient. Shopping and supermarket close by with restaurants easy access. Hotel staff friendly; clean rooms - some with balconies which are worth requesting; WiFi connection was excellent; rooms small so short stays best here. No bar fridge or tea and coffee facilities.

Nice hotel excellent location

Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: Great location
Cons: Can improve with toiletries during room service.
Location: Great location, shopping, transport etc.
Hotel is located right in the centre on the main street, shopping, transport, walk to everything. However, the hotel can improve with toiletries during room service. There is free WIFI, but the Internet strength is very poor and keeps cutting out. The room is clean and comfortable and the bath room is a good size.

Small city centre hotel

Posted Jun 8, 2015
Pros: Convenient for station. Quiet. Clean.
Cons: Toilet seat broken. Tea/coffee in room would be nice.
Location: Midway between station and sea front. On tram route.
Five minute walk from the station. Hotel clean and staff efficient. Small lounge and bar. Bedroom very small with double bed. Optional breakfast is self-service and not good value at €12 per person.
