It was awful

Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything, especially cleanliness and facilities.
Location: Train station is nearby - that's the only good thing about this hotel.
The room was awful. We had to check out straight away as the room was unclean, and had very poor facilities. The entire hotel stank of urine. I will never use this hotel again.

Nice hotel close to shopping stores and restaurant

Posted May 6, 2014
Pros: It is near department stores, restaurants and transportations.
Cons: It would be a nice place to stay for a short vacation.
I have to ask for a glass for me and my friend so we could brush our teeth. No face towel, no bar soap, just 2 small packets of liquid soap for bath.

Hotel in Nice

Posted Oct 20, 2013
The dirtiest hotel I've ever seen, I didn't want to have breakfast in their restaurant and when I asked on reception can take just coffee they told me " No you have to pay €8 for breakfast , we can't give you only coffee". I was mad when I received answer like this, but they made me a favor, because I when to a better place. Do yourself a favor and the moment you see the name of this hotel just skip it..

The hotel is not in a good condition at all. The owners should invest in improvements for their hotel as well as general cleanliness which is lacking.

Pros: close to train station
Cons: busy,noisy street
Location: not far from the beach and main street
The hotel is dated.Carpet needs deep wash and clean. The bed sheets had one or two hairs from unknown donors, although were clean. The T.V. does not come with a remote so I had to get up every time I wanted to change the channel. In the bathroom a soap was left in the bath from the previous occupants. Our toilet leaked when flushed.Although they said there was a certain way you had to hold the flash handle!!! Careful with the plugs as they come off the wall and not attached properly. I wasn't informed about the breakfast on arrival. There was no information notices.I found out from the hotel website they offer a french breakfast of 4 euros and a more full breakfast of 8 euros. There was no-one to observe what breakfast you got but we had what the french offer was.In the end the owner said they don't do that anymore and I have to pay 16 euros.I told him about the website and he couldn't believe it.So,the information was contradicting. There weren't any of the door tags you normally get to say ''don't enter'',''don't clean'',etc. There wasn't any info on what number to dial to get to reception. It was extremely hot (34 degrees) and no fan.We kept the windows open but couldn't sleep as the street busy and noisy throughout the night.

Not Reccomended

The best part of this hotel was that it was 2-3 blocks from the train station. It was fine for what we used it for: an overnight in Nice due to an early flight out the next morning. Its an easy walk from the train station and there are busses that go to the airport for about 1.5 Euro, vs a 40 Euro cab ride. The hotel keeps the doors locked at all times, you need to be buzzed in and out. The surrounding area is not great - I didn't feel very safe at night. The hallways were sometimes loud, the room was clean - we had to upgrade to a room with AC because it was July in Nice and it was hot. Its about 2 blocks from the main road which will take you down to the old city, which is about a 15-20 minute walk. The service was ok - not overly friendly but helpful. I think there are probably places in the same area that are nicer at comparable rates. The pictures of this hotel online felt misleading.
