Property Amenities
Although the street address is on Promenade des Anglais, the Hôtel Elysée Palace is a half-block from the Promenade itself, which has wide sidewalks parallel to the beach. Built in 1987, the Hôtel Elysée Palace is unlike the Belle Epoque architecture of many other Nice hotels. The hotel's modern exterior is composed of streamlined stone and smoked glass, with subtle, classically inspired sculptures as oversized design elements. The hotel's interior has a contemporary Art Deco feel, with walnut-paneled corridors leading to guestrooms.
A large rooftop terrace provides a lap pool, showers, and a 360-degree view of Nice and the Mediterranean. Available to hotel guests only, the terrace is open from from April to November, and also has a restaurant and bar that serves drinks and a light summer menu. Le Clos des Gourmets, an intimate gourmet restaurant on the ground floor, is open from mid-September to mid-May, serving lunch and dinner menus with an emphasis on fish. A breakfast room offers a morning meal. Both self- and valet parking are available (surcharge for both).
Rooms
The Hôtel Elysée Palace has 143 guestrooms, each with tea/coffee making facilities, in-room safes, minibars with complimentary soft drinks, and flat-panel TVs with satellite service.
Guests with laptops can connect to the Internet via complimentary wireless Internet access.
Bathrooms are clad in marble, and have telephones and complimentary toiletries.
Room Amenities
Dining
Le Clos des Gourmets - Intimate gastronomic restaurant seating 30, open from mid-September to mid-May. Decor includes translucent-glass ceiling lights, double layers of brocade tablecloths, and white crockery with colorful but discreet Art Deco details. The à la carte and fixed-price lunch and dinner menus lean strongly toward fish dishes with “catch of the day” offerings. From April to November, Le Clos des Gourmets is closed, and the rooftop terrace restaurant opens to serve a lighter summer menu.
Rooftop Terrace - Informal bar and restaurant on the rooftop terrace open from mid-May to mid-September. Panoramic views, drinks and snacks all day, and a menu of fish dishes and grilled meats for lunch and dinner.
Breakfast Room - Separated from the lobby by frosted glass screens. Hot-and-cold buffet served each morning. Large green columns and potted trees punctuate rows of square tables, each with a pristine white tablecloth. The space is divided into two areas: one for individuals and small parties, and one for larger groups.
Recreation
Open from mid-May to mid-September, the hotel's 604-square-meter (6,500-sq ft) rooftop terrace contains 50 lounge chairs, showers, and a 12-meter (39-ft) pool. It's a perfect spot to soak up sun and the panoramic view of ocean, beach, and sky.
The Promenade des Anglais, a half-block from the hotel, has wide sidewalks parallel to the beach, a favorite of joggers and in-line skaters; cyclists have dedicated lanes. The clear Mediterranean waters are ideal for snorkeling, and the best beaches are the less-congested Eze-sur-Mer and Cap d'Ail, 10 km (6 mi) east; both are easily reachable by car, bus, or train. In summer, parasailing, water-skiing and personal watercraft can be hired at Florida Beach, directly across the Promenade from the hotel. Both experienced golfers and beginners are welcome at the 9-hole compact course at the Golf de Nice, open all year; the course is 4 km (2.5 mi) west.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the hotel; fees may apply.

“American Sized Rooms”
Great service, rooms are large and well maintained. Quiet and in a good area. 24hr room service. Not charming or very French though but good place if you want a more American style hotel
“2 strikes and you're out!!”
So a prior stay in August at this hotel was inhibited by the fact they promote their restaurant and being the food critic that I am...I had to try it...To my utter dismay they pushed back the opening to allow their pool restaurant to remain open a few more weeks to capitalize on the wonderful weather...Fair enough! So I ate their anyway and I walked on to the hotel roof where I encountered what can be best described as a cheap wedding reception type setting...The food to say the least was right on par with this synopsis. The front desk staff are unhelpful, Snotty, and one in particular (Yulia) Her particular ability to over charge your credit card after you asked her not to is impeccable. So I figured...I really should try this restaurant and the rooms are quite lovely save the un opening windows which makes the rooms feel a bit claustrophobic. To my utter disappointment and disgust I had to first encounter the ever so rude (Yulia) Again! And of course she never disappoints.....Same un smiling rude character...feels like being grilled by the gastapo rather than checking in....So I reluctantly grabbed my room key and wandered up to my "sea view" room which by the way folks.....are anything but sea view...you either get a slight sliver of a sea view, or an upgraded corner of your eye sea view...not worth the extra upgrade. And now for the grand finale...The restaurant...which is a glass box with absolutely no character, lacking wine list, and seating is plastic and cheap..3*
“Great Hotel and very friendly and extremly helpful front desk staff!!”
The Hotel was far better than expected! Very French/Modern with very comfortable bedding. You often hear that the People/Staff at French hotels can be rude and not helpful, This was not the case at all!!. The front desk staff was extremly helpful with everything I asked for. The staff printed out bus schedules, helped us locate point of interest on maps, booked tours , made great resturaunt recommendations. I was very pleased with everyone at the front desk, only wish I remembered the names of a special few. Would reccommend this Hotel to everyone!!
“Would recommend with a few caveots”
We were just staying here for one night before coming home and I'm glad this was the case. We had the basic (or classic) room since we knew we wanted to spend our time out in town not in the room. It was serviceable but pretty basic. The hotel has not had any substantial updates in at least a decade and could use them. The bed (as seems to be the case in France) was two twin(ish) sized beds pushed together, not a queen. The bedding was also two twin(ish) sized bedding so it felt very Leave It to Beaver. I found a few long blonde hairs that were not mine on the long fabric draping on the foot of the bed. I wasn't surprised since those never get cleaned and just tossed it on the floor. Gross. The carpeting is basic sisal which is rough on the feet. One of the elevators went out during our stay which was frustrating. Our favorite part of our stay was the breakfast buffet. There was a great spread and plenty of food. I think it was 22 euro. Overall, fine for a night. I wouldn't make this my home base for a week long holiday.
“Nothing special”
I've stayed in this hotel almost 10 years ago, it was part of Sheraton Group but it's not anymore. It's renewed (not my taste but everything is new). I had some specific problems: timing to delivery something to my room afetr a request, once I had to go down to pick up an adaptor. I've asked the concierge to book a restaurant at the port of Cap Ferrat, but I've found out last minute that they've booked a restaurant at the port of Nice instead! Some of the staff are really nice and helpfull but not all, this depends on the person and not on the hotel training! ATTENTION: if you book a Junior suite with an ocean view ask for a high floor because up to third floor the view is almost nothing and the price is the same!!!!
“would recommend it.”
Would recommened it.
“not worth the moeny”
The walls on hallway look so bare that it feels like we are in an apartment. People at the reception desk are not friendly, and their charge for the use of the so-called private beach is actually more than anyone walking in.
“ali attie”
i like this area hotel and the personal is very helping
“Pleasant stay in Nice”
This hotel is very clean and updated. An excellent location being 1/2 block from the beach. We were travelling as a family with my 8 and 6 year olds. The room was spacious enough that we weren't tripping over each other. Beds were very comfortable and A/C was adequate. Would recommend to anyone and would stay there again.
“I wil come back”
Its ok, the is confortable, but is a bit small.
