Great location and reasonable price.

Posted Sep 5, 2014
Pros: Reasonable price, great views.
Cons: Better breakfast and opening the restaurant. Air conditioning in the room.
Location: Continue on up the road to take the back route to Eze and great views of the coast.
Staying in August and this was a mid-priced option for Nice. Hotel has fantastic views from the dining room / lounge and city facing rooms. My cheaper room faced a stone wall at the side of the property, but I understood that before booking. Staff are helpful and friendly. If arriving late make contact with the owners beforehand to obtain the key code for the gate and front door. Breakfast is a bit overpriced for what you get, but the views compensate. A key advantage is local, free, on-street parking which is at a premium in Nice and usually chargeable at other hotels in the city. A disadvantage is it's up a steep hill and thus quite a long walk (or taxi ride) home if you spend the evening in Nice. The hotel restaurant was closed in August and at other times if bookings are insufficient. There are no obvious convenient local shops to buy provisions.

Good size room, fairly good view. Shower cubicle was tiny! Unable to move around whilst showering as shower had been cramped into small washroom

Must stay, great way to finish a trip

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Owners Gino and Valerie are extremely gracious! They go out of their way to take care of their guests. Fairly close to city center, easy bus and tram ride (except on Sunday!), views are amazing and atmosphere is warm and inviting. Gino's dinner is a must, so delicious.

Great Stay in Nice for those with Car

Posted Jun 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
I loved our stay here. The view from the hotel was stunning. Loved having a porch with such great view of the city, and loved eating breakfast (or dinner) overlooking the city. So romantic. Valerie and Gino are wonderful owners who obviously care a great deal about their guests. They helped us get around the city and gave us tips of places to go and what to do inside and outside of Nice. Beware that the room we stayed in was small but comfortable (and very clean!) and that we did not have AC. Although the breeze at night helped cool us down and we slept beautifully. Would definitely go back there. Thanks Valerie and Gino!

Room with a View

Posted Sep 29, 2013
Pros: Staff very helpful. Food was great. Room was clean and the view was amazing.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Situated in the hills on the outskirts of Nice. 20 minute walk to Nice Riquier Railway Station and 10 minute walk to Tram. Bus stop outside hotel.
We booked this hotel as it was reasonably priced. We did not want to stay in the centre in Nice as we wanted to be close Nice Riqiuer Station as we intended to use the railway to travel along the Cote d'Azur. Hotel was very good and view from our bedroom and the restaurant was fabulous. Only downside is the long walk up the hill at the end of a long day. A bus does run passed the hotel during the day but stops quite early.

Truely awful.

Pros: The best thing about this hotel was Leaving
Cons: The worst thing was standing on the street facing a locked Gate and trying to work out how we could get into reception. Lucky another guest let us in.
Location: High on the side of the Hill with nothing local
This hotel was described as a beautiful location and romantic. We arrived on Sunday afternoon at 5pm. The gates were locked, the reception and the restaurant were closed and our key was left on the side with a note front the owner saying see you in the morning. The room was so small I had to sit sideways on the loo and everything was tired and dated. We went for a cheap room which turned out to mean a view of a wall 3 feet from the windows. Considering the night before we had stayed in a suite in Lyon for 10 euro more this page was very over priced and poorly described. Thankfully we were only there one night.

Loved the Hotel, but transportation is not easy to and from. Valerie and Gino are amazing! I would highly recommend this hotel, if you have a car.

C'est parfait!

We had a marvelous stay in the French Riviera, and a lot of that has to do with our accomodations. Hotel le Panoramic was an excellent choice of lodging. The view from our terrace is simply breathtaking. It is perfect for a romantic getaway. It is pretty close to the center. The bus stops right at the hotel and leaves every 30 minutes, or you can take a walk down to the tram line which takes about 15 minutes. Just a little caution though, if you are into night life, the last bus leaves at around 7:30 pm so you will need to take a walk, or if you have a car rental, then you can scratch off walking :) Also, let the staff know in advance if you are arriving late so you can get the code to get in. Gino and Valerie are amazing hosts. They are very attentive to their guests and very nice and friendly. You will certainly feel welcome.

We stayed in a double room at the Hotel Le Panoramic for fourteen nights so it was important that we would like the hotel and thank goodness it didn't disappoint. On our first day we were given a warm welcome by the hotel proprietors and their gorgeous dog! The bedroom and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. As the name suggests the hotel has a magnificent view over Nice and it was a treat to look out the window over the rooftops and out to the sea from our bedroom window. We didn't have evening meals as we had other plans but we did have a number of generous continental breakfasts in the lovely dining room (not included in hotel rate). There is a tv in the room and we also had internet. The view comes at the small price of having a ten/fifteen minute walk upward in the evenings. There is a tram line at the end of the hill with frequent trams to the centre and there is also a bus connection but I can't comment on this as we just took trams. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
