Travelling as a family with 2 children, we had a lovely stay for a week at the end of August. The owners are very charming and create a calm low key relaxed feel to your stay. It couldn’t have been better. We had a family room with a large double and two single beds. The room was very spacious and the air-conditioning worked well. The weather was very hot for the time of year but the room and the swimming pool were very cooling and relaxing. The buffet breakfast had an excellent selection. It’s a short drive up to the village of St Paul which is beautiful and our preferred place for dinner. There’s an open air shopping mall a very short drive back towards Nice. We’d definitely stay again next time we head to the Cote d’Azure.

The room was spacious and had a small terrace. Short drive to St Paul de Vence. Well placed as a base for exploring the area. Although near the road the room was quiet.

very good location, close to Nice airport, Saint Paul de Vence, downtown Nice. Very nice landscaping, well maintained grounds. good size, clean swimming pool. Very well mannered, helpful stuff. reliable wifi.

Me and my 3 best friends stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it, the pool is amazing, the rooms are very nice, lovely balcony’s and gardens. Our personal highlight was the amazing owner Joel who looked after all of us. We would love to come back ! 🌈

Great if you’re driving
Nice hotel with small pool and parking. Comfortable room. Friendly service. The only two slight drawbacks were the dripping air-conditioning, making it unusable and difficult to sleep in the heat as a result, and the WiFi signal was poor to the point of not being worth trying - the 3G/4G is bad too, so not a hotel to stay in if you need to get online! Otherwise a very pleasant stay!

Lovely comfortable room at a good price.We knew there was no bar or restaurant on site but the room had a small fridge and a kettle and cups and glasses to keep refreshments topped up. Plenty of shops and eateries nearby if you have a car and you really need one here. Loved the Polygone Riviera mall, minutes away and 2 hours free parking. Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were very grateful to the lady on reception who helped us sort out our parking fine and get it paid off.We had misunderstood the train station parking meter at Cagnes sur mer and had overstayed our welcome! Great value train travel,check out ZOU passes for great deals covering Cannes to Monaco. THANK YOU all staff at this lovely little hotel.

Pretty and quiet location
Hotel was just a short drive from a good variety of restaurants. Nice quiet location and pretty scenery. Lovely swimming pool, which we had all to ourselves on a couple of occasions . The cleanliness was excellent and our room was simply furnished but comfortable. The loo and bathroom were separate, which is unusual but not a particular problem.Good selection at breakfast and nicely presented.

Very convenient for visiting Nice and towns on the coast. Easy access to St. Paul de Vence 12 mins but parking there very expensive but easily accessible.Recommend Le Tilleul to eat . Busy but beautiful village. Staff at Les Bastides were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast extra at E13 p.p. Per day.

They couldn't do enough for us. Lovely people.
Lounging by the pool is a bit noisy from the road traffic but super clean and ticks the boxes. So friendly, comfy beds and dark so that there's no waking at sunrise!

Close to St Paul de Vence
Very nice hotel with pool. I'd come back in a heartbeat. We had a room with a double or queen and two single beds for the kids. Our own balcony with table a chairs. We purchased food at the local store and enjoyed dinner at 'home'. Great location for day drive to Nice, Cannes, and Antebis.

Friendly hotel in St. Paul de Vence
Gilles is fantastic and provided lots of info and help. He even sold us a bottle of his own wine when we discovered all the stores were closed. Very clean and updated facility with free parking, great beds, quiet, nice landscaping and nature. Breakfast well worth the 12 euros. Earns its 3 star rating.

Felt like a summer home
I was very tired when I arrived, so I couldn't say too much more then I loved the place for being so quite and cozy. I slept 12 hours straight (and I normally sleep about 6 a night.) I woke up and was thrilled. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, I wish I had more time. The hotel was more like a charming summer house and I would have liked to take a swim in the beautiful pool.

Stayed as family of 4 for two nights. Was a lovely relaxing start to our holiday. Nice large quadruple bedroom, very clean, added bonus of small terrace with pretty view. No dinner option but not a problem as close to St Paul and Vence which are both a must see. (Advise to park on outskirts of St Paul and walk final 10 mins). Bought drinks, bread and cheese from local shop and ate on terrace for snack (there is small fridge in room). Staff friendly and accommodating, child friendly. Would recommend as good value small hotel, although close to main road did not bother us and we had two good night's sleep.

Close to Nice and Cannes - quick Cote D'Azur trip
We decided to stay here as it was close to both Nice and Cannes in both directions. The breakfast was also quite good. The reception staff was friendly and helpful.

To get into the property, need to make sharp, not well-marked turn off the main road. Slow down in advance, despite French drivers honking behind you!

Les Bastides de St Paul is located on a busy road near St Paul de Vence and the town of Vence in France. Other reviews I have read said the the traffic noise did was not a problem. It really is. The rooms are a nice size. The bed was comfortable. There are balconies and a pool. The staff were extremely helpful. Due to recent storms the WIFI was really only available in the office/breakfast room area. It was just that you could not get away from the sound of traffic. Also the property has stairs that may be a problem for some.

Found it by filtering for "free parking". In the hills out of the bustle of the ocean strip. Quiet. Comfortable. Close to the historic walled city of Saint Paul de Vence, Renoir's house and gallery.

This hotel has adequate rooms with nice balconies. It is several minutes drive from Saint Paul de Vence, however. There is no view except their pool which is lovely. The bathrooms are older, but adequate.

Decent Hotel for a couple of nights
Hotel is a good choice for a couple of nights, room very clean, but book a room with a veranda or balcony. Not much close by so you need a car. About a 10 minute drive to St Paul de Vence and too far to walk. There is a good supermarket on the rout to St Paul to stock up with drinks etc. Unfortunately no fridge in the room. Decent pool. No bar although there is a stock of beer and wine in reception

A bit out of the way
We arrived late and no-one was at reception, but we were able to access our room as our keys had been left out for us. It took us ages to find in the dark as it is not signposted anywhere. The property is fairly new and kept to a fairly good standard, although a little untidy in places. Breakfast was good and the staff was helpful and agreeable.

Comfortable, reasonable valued hotel
My wife and I stayed here for one night recently and were very happy with the hotel and value for money. The room was clean with a comfortable bed and newish bathroom facilities. The staff were excellent, helping to arrange a taxi one night, and contacting a restaurant in St-Paul-de-Vence to inform them we were delayed for our dinner booking. However not all the staff speak English so beware! The hotel is set just off a main thoroughfare, but traffic noise from the rooms isn't a problem. The hotel is not located directly in town, so unless you have a car access might be problematic.

Semaine au top !
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour (voyage d’affaires). Ce qui nous a permis de bien nous reposer et profiter de la piscine après nos journées de travail. Le buffet du petit déjeuner est très bien (bon rapport qualité/prix), vous y trouverez fromages et charcuterie, confitures et miel bio, viennoiseries, œufs à la coque, différents pain et crêpes, fruits, yaourts, jus d’orange et de nombreuses boissons chaudes (j’ai dû en oublier certainement). Là propreté générale des lieux et des chambres est irréprochable. Concernant le personnel de l’établissement, n’hésitez surtout pas à discuter avec eux pour avoir des informations et bons plans pour les lieux et restaurants autour de l’hôtel. Nous y retournerons sans hésiter, si nous avons la chance d’avoir un nouveau chantier autour de Nice ouest.
