We enjoyed our stay here. The location is ideal. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had a great meal in the restaurant and enjoyed the view. Some services like the bar and conseirge were understaffed. The rooms are small and dated but comfortable. The location definitely trumps everything else. We would stay again.

Breakfast was incredible, dinner at La Siecle was well presented and delicious. Bathroom needed some work with broken tiles and some mold in the grout. Excellent location and very friendly and helpful.

The japaneses lady and other staff at check in were wonderful with perfect English. Location great - oldest hotel in Nice across the Boardwalk/beach. The attached restaurant has indoor/ outdoor seating with excellent food. They put us on 6th floor and it was absolute quiet. Comfortable beds! One of the best !

Nice hotel. Good location. Only issue was that room was not equipped for when we stayed with basic amenities like a kettle or teaspoon but they are minor things. Walkable to everywhere.

Very good restaurant and breakfast. Would advise guests that it's an old building meaning it has a lot of character but also older building issues - such as small lifts. Air con / heating has some eco friendly limitations which may be difficult during the height of the season. I see this as a lovely clean period hotel in an excellent location for exploring Nice.

Very nice property - too classically old world style in furnishings. Maybe not very recently updated. Nice buffet but the breakfast area was very cramped and very crowded at any hour we went during our three day stay.

A beautiful hotel to stay in. Check in was easy and staff were polite. We had a triple room. I stayed up in the top part. The bathroom was alongside and there was a smell constantly from the drains. No fan in bathroom so couldn’t be helped. Air conditioning cannot be put on due to time of year so did get very warm upstairs. The window downstairs was good but didn’t cool upstairs. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Hotel so close to the beach.

It is greatly located and convenient. The air conditioning is central and wasn’t set for cooling, it was set for heating, so it was required to sleep with windows open while there was heavy rain ongoing. Even with windows closed the room is not sound proof, we could hear the planes, cars and waves all night long. Very hard to sleep.

Lovely hotel on the promenade anglaise - you can walk out of the hotel directly on to the promenade, 12 mins walk to the old town (either along the promenade or through the back streets). We booked a superior room with a sea view but they upgraded us to a deluxe room (126 sq m vs 215 sq m so only marginally bigger) but with a partial sea view. To be honest, the upgrade wasn't ideal as we lost the main reason we booked our initial room and it was too cold and windy to be on the balcony, which was the only way to see a bit of the sea from the upgraded room. We tried to get back our original sea view room but the hotel was entirely booked and it wasn't possible. The staff were really lovely and I think a bit flummoxed that we just wanted the room we'd booked. So i'd recommend this hotel and would stay there again; at the same time, I think the staff need to be a bit more cautious about moving people from sea view rooms to rooms with a different view, particularly when it's still quite cold and the balconies are not usable. The breakfast was great and again the staff were incredibly welcoming.

Wonderful stay at this hotel. Very welcoming and helpful staff. The room was clean and had a breathtaking sea view. I cried at sunset, that's just how I roll. The bathroom window portal to bedroom was a bit creepy at first, but turned into a peep show, so in retrospect, me likey. However, it was just me, weird, right? Free cocktails were a nice touch. Late night restauraunts were scarce and didnt meet honeybooboo's standards, more veggie/vegan options are needed. Pull up your socks Nice. Hotel Westend saved the day with a comfortable, classy room, perfectly located for my needs. The hotel restauraunt was packed and had a great atmosphere, I should have eaten there. Will bring a date next time who likes touristic food more as I could barely cover the Michelin star restos and went to bed quite unsatisfied - nothing to do with Hotel West End - more my dating etiquette. The hotel rates were affordable, great value for money. In summary, the Hotel West End staff and facilities were great, top notch. I'll be back.

The hotel was well placed for walking to all of Nice. The room I had was a sea view and the view was wonderful. The staff were generally friendly. Only downside was I booked to have a place to park the hire car and the lot was full, so I had to use a nearby (expensive) public car park. The restaurant dinner was expensive but the night I went was an opera evening and was an excellent evening - food was tasty and the staff welcoming.

The reception was so friendly and helpful ! The staff in the dining were accommodating and every morning the breakfast was fresh and hot. After the room was cleaned a nice small treat was left on the pillow.

Great location, with friendly staff. The hotel’s decor is a little tired and the sea facing room we had was very warm without the air con which had been turned off for winter. The staff were friendly and breakfast on the terrace was a treat.

This property is not a 4 star.. I was given a room dirty full of stain on the rugs.. stank of cigarettes.. the front desk person would not give me a room with 3 beds that I had paid for .. so bad I left the place at 1 am ..don’t stay there it’s a horrible place this should be a 1 star

The front desk receptionist on duty did apologize several times for the cigarette and rug stains issues that you met in the first room. We can assure you that we have reviewed our cleaning and room control procedures with the housekeeper, so that such a situation will not occur in the future. We would like to inform you that the room which was given, was with three beds, and that it was a Junior Suite as per you booking. Also, the receptionist did his best by offering you two times a room move and a free upgrade following your remarks. It was your own choice to left our property at 1 am and we are sorrowful by your decision to left our hotel without even thinking to change for another room but we do respect your call. We do hope that you will give us a chance next time to regain your trust during a future stay.

I strongly do not recommend staying at this property. Although the property advertises it is air conditioned, that proved not to be the case. I never would have booked this hotel with no air conditioning. In the USA it is against the law to fraudulently advertise to having air conditioning but not provide it. We paid an upgraded fee for having a seaside view, but unfortunately that location is in direct sun all day. There are no windows, just one door opening to a tiny balcony only having room for 1 small metal chair. No screen to keep the bugs out. Inadequate shading design as you could not let air in and have shade down at same time. We did our part by always having the shade down to minimize sun exposure. When we checked in we were never told that no air conditioning provided. We stayed 3 nights. Night one temperature in room OK. Night two after a rainy day it was sweltering. We complained to the front desk in the am and we told there is no air conditioning as it was intentionally turned off. A fan was offered but not delivered. When complained again to front desk in the evening and were firmly told again there is no air conditioning. No explanation as to no fan.

Dear Judy, We do apologise for you discomfort in regards to the AC and the complaint on the room.On the complaint with the room we did listen and we did give a room change, we also gave gift for an amount of 100 Euros as well as a bottle of Champagne and Fragonard products as an apology.In regards to the AC, on the French Rivera most hotels do cut the AC on the 15th October, this is a common practice and has been the case for many years and is in full compliance with French and EU laws. We again do apologise for your discomfort and every staff member takes pride in ensuring that all guests have a memorable stay. Good location and very reasonable priced rooms for area though furniture rather tired looking . Two electrical sockets were loose detached from wall and dust on air vents . Staff were warm and welcoming . Breakfast was just great - excellent selections quality and quantity. Overall a good stay .
