Could be Nicer

Posted May 20, 2014
Pros: Bed and pillow
Cons: Coffee replenished, more linen in bathroom, fridge or ice available, beach towels
On check in the staff member was not very friendly. The hotel was reasonably comfortable and fairly well located, but there was room for improvement. There was tea/coffee in the room but it was not replenished when the room was serviced. There were no face cloths and only one hand towel/bathmat, not sure which it was. There was no fridge or ice available. The room was quite small and they did not have beach towels available even for hire. Some of the staff were helpful but others unfriendly. We didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that. The hotel didn't seem to have any other facilities. On the plus side though, I found the bed and pillow to be very good. We did not experience noise from other guests. They did store bags securely for no charge.

Excellent Staff, Great Location

Posted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff, comfy bed
Cons: For the price you pay, nothing should be improved
Location: Superb location for all tourist locations, able to walk everywhere with ease
Superb location, walking distance to majority of tourist areas of Nice. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Small room, as advertised by hotel but very comfortable bed and all amenities available at no extra cost. Bonus early check in time, 1pm and late check out, 12pm as standard. Will definitely stay here again

Very convenient for the port

Stayed one night before catching early morning ferry to Corsica - only a couple of minutes away from the port. Clean comfortable hotel. Hotel has a small underground car park and it's possible to book a space ahead. Beware though, it's a nightmare to manoeuvre largish cars in the car park, witness the paint marks left on awkward corners ! Public car park nearby would be less traumatic!

Nice hotel ideal location near the port

We didnt expect much but we can honestly say that the hotel is definitely value for money. Very friendly staff, all facilities good and very good breakfast available. We particularly like the early check in at 1pm and relatively late check out at 12 noon so would accommodate many.

Nice area, close to port

Posted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: Convenient position. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast.
Cons: Bathroom had black mould on ceiling. wi fi did not work during our whole stay. Drinks in room for first night only, after that you have to buy them.
Location: Restaurants, bars and supermarket nearby
Needed somewhere close to the port as arriving late evening. In a nice area, plenty of places to eat. Close to tram stop, so easy journey to the main railway station. There was a coffee maker, two cardboard cups and six drinks when we arrived. We did not realize that these would not be replenished, and that you have to buy them at breakfast time the next morning, so the following evening we had no drinks, and we had also thrown the cardboard cups away as they are suitable for single use only! A bit mean we thought. If guests are paying for two nights surely they should have two nights worth of drinks?

Good morning and thank you for your comment. Unfortunately, the WIFI was not working during your stay but it was not the fault of the hotel : thare was a little storm in NICE that burned the UCOPIA materials. ORANGE networks is in charge of our WIFI, the new material was commanded 2 weeks ago and we are still waiting for the new installation. Concerning the key room, we have magnetic keys : as soon as you put it near a phone or metallic keys, there is no magnetic acces anymore, that's the only reason

Great location

From what I saw of Nice the hotel is in the coolest area of town. Really nice bars and restaurants. My room was small but clean, only a tiny window looking straight at a wall. Strange swirly artex walls, but if you want somewhere cheap and clean in the heart of nice. This is your place.
