Benjy at the front desk was more interested in listening to his music and playing computer games than assisting us...he was terrible...the room was a box and the ac didn’t work until we were walking out the door on our last day...don’t EVER stay here !

Nice little place just outside of Vieux Nice. Easy walk to beach and Old Town. Staff was very kind and always available to help. I had read from other reviews that we would need a code to enter from the street, so I emailed and received prompt reply with code prior to our arrival. Room was small but not too cramped. Bathroom was nice. AC worked great. We would stay here again.

Stairs
Description said no lift - but that there were only 9 rooms (assume 2 floors at best). However there are 5 flights of stairs to go up to get to the lobby and rooms. This was very hard for us as seniors. Staff assisted a bit with luggage. Amenities lacking. They had mugs and a pot for hot water but no coffee or tea bags. Only got 2 small towels that were just bigger than a hand towel. Staff was helpful and tried hard to please.

Budget hotel with the extra touch
It’s a budget hotel, a lot of stairs from the entrance. We arrived at the railway station and soon discovered that the direct route with google was a challenge with suitcases so on the way back went near the tram line. Cheery greeting and helpful staff, room 2 had a small balcony and the room had everything we needed. The nice touches included wine glasses appearing after the staff noticed we’d got a bottle of wine and an extra suitcase stand. Near the seafront and plenty of places to eat, just don’t expect a quiet night! Good value.

Very convenient hotel in pedestrianised area
This was a very nice small 'hotel', which actually consited of 7 rooms on one floor with a small reception area. Our room (5) was very good - nice firm mattress, plenty of space, fridge and safe, small ensuite shower room. Lovely small balcony (overlooking the pedestrian street) with small table and 2 chairs. On the edge of the old town, very convenient. The lady in charge ?owner was very helpful. We'd stay there again, but there are certain caveats which mean it might not suit everyone. 1. We arrived by car, but couldn't stop outside to unload, had to go to Etoile carpark a few hundred yards away, and take cases form there. The lady did say something about a carpark, but don't think there was one for this hotel. 2. Its on the 3rd floor, up 4 flights of stairs, with no lift. You need to be fit, or have a small amount of luggage only! 3. There was no-one there when we arrived (5 pm), but were lucky in that another guest arrived with a code for the door lock. We should have rung ahead, I'm sure we would have been given the code, but we were flummoxed for a while! It wouldn't have suited my elderly parents (who wouldn't have made it up the stairs), but if you're a bit younger and fitter it's fine.

There was no one on site to greet you or let you into the hotel. We had to call the emergency number and were given a code to enter to gain access to the building and the hotel on the second floor. When we got into the hotel an envelope was there with our name on it that contained the key to our room. I or other people that ere also staying at the hotel had to go downstairs to let other people into the hotel. The room was fine and the location is good. The only time the owner seems to be on site is for a few hours in the morning.

The Hotel is on the 4th floor and has no elavator. Its in a pedestrian mall so you have to walk over a block from the cab and the lady that works there didn't speek a word of english.

Low point of a great trip
I booked a triple room, upon arrival she looked upset like I was trying to sneak a 3rd person in. I was told I booked a double, upon realizing it was their mistake her attitude changed and they squeezed a cot in the room. A very cramped room. I paided for everything with a credit card before I arrived, I had no euro. At checkout we owed Avery small amount of € for some kind of tax. When I explained I had no cash she got angry and wadded up the invoice! We made a point of finding an ATM so she got her €.... then she was sweet as can be again. No, I would not stay here again. Too volatile of a personality to be dealing with the public.

Everything great. One exception. I was not told beforehand that the hotel is several flights of stairs above the street and that I would have to phone a number from the street sign to get a code to let myself in. No one was there. Everything else perfect. Steps from the Mediterranean bus stops restaurants. Clean. Friendly.

Lovely room, clean ensuite, nice decor, handy little fridge. 3rd floor up the stairs. Very simple kettle with no tea or coffee and broken mug. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cute little B&B'ish place, perfect for tourism!
It's a wee B&B-like place really, the proprietor is really nice and helpful. Rooms are small but comfortable, and the AC works rather well (useful for this part of the world!). Just beware it's up several flights of stairs with no lifts, but that's part of the charm. It's in the perfect location for tourists, literally in the centre of everything. Highly recommended if you're in Nice for tourism purposes!

Lovely Stay
We loved our stay in this beautiful room at Le Petit Trianon! The staff was so friendly and made our check in and check-out process a breeze. The room is small, but very clean and cozy with beautiful views. Great location. The only negative was the sun coming in through the thin windows made it hard to sleep in the morning. Overall, great experience!

Convenient and clean hotel
The hotel is very clean it is up a lot of stairs so not good for the less able. It was very clean and a really tiny little balcony. The location is great. Nice is very beautiful we particularly loved the views from the top of Nice near the fort.

Great stay overall. Weather was awful for first two days but improved dramatically for the remainder of the week. It was 24 degrees the day we left! Nice is a brilliant place to visit and the hotel is centrally situated in a quiet street.

Location, location, location
This compact and bijou hotel is in the most convenient of locations. The 15 minute bus ride from the airport drops you just a 5 minute walk away. You are in instant reach of a huge range of bars and café's. The beach, Place Massena, Vieux Ville, local parks, museums, galleries and shops are all within easy reach. The area feels safe at night. Reception / check in / out was easy - you arrange with the hotel before arriving. Rooms were very clean and, although compact, offered good facilities. There is no lift, you need to be aware of this is stairs and heavy luggage factor into your hotel decision making. However being 3 floors up means you're in the heart of the action but, thanks to good glazing and air con you can shut out the noise of the city. We stayed in room 2 which has a sweet little balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. There was a fridge and safe in the room as well as tea making facilities. Breakfast is OK value for money given the expensive city centre prices but you can find more for less if you hunt for it. There's not a lot of luggage / storage space which could get annoying if you stayed longer than a few days - we just had hand luggage so managed 3 days ok. The beds are super comfortable - I would say medium firm - between us we had one 5 month pregnant person and one person with a very bad back and we slept very well. Cleaners came daily. My only minor grumble was the bathroom though well appointed is very very small.

Lovely personal hotel in an excellent location
This is a lovely personal hotel, the gentleman on reception is really friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be much better; it's in the centre of the shops with a few minutes walk to the promenade de Anglais and a 5-10 minute to old town with all the restaurants and bars. If you don't want a walk just over the road from the hotel are 3 or 4 bars/cafes. The room was relatively small but it was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Nice!

Awesome clean and comfy hotel with balcony overlooking shops. 2 min walk to beach. Staff courteous and helpful, close to trams, 10 min walk to train station to catch train to Monaco. Wifi superfast, showers amazing.

Tiny but very convenient hotel
Very small hotel, one floor of an apartment building, beautifully fixed up. Room was quiet, comfortable, good air conditioning, wifi and shower. Staffing is limited but very nice. Neighborhood is great, on walk streets close to everything. Only warning is that there is no elevator to this third floor hotel. Be prepared for lots of stairs.

The room was clean and had good basic amenities. But you should warn interested guests that the hotel is located on the 3rd floor and there is no lift. Also that no motor vehicles are allowed at the entrance, and guests must therefore be prepared to carry their luggage for a distance

Don't even bother!
The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It is walking distance to the beach and many resturants and cafes as well as trams. There is no lift as stated on their website, so we had to drag 2 suitcases up 2 flights of stairs which was annoying as it was advertised to have a lift. Upon arrival we were given no maps to show location, information about the hotel, our surroundings until we enquired. We were taken straight to our room which thankfully was clean and tidy. The wooden floor did have a squeak every time we walked and the door could not open fully as it would get stuck in the wooden floor. The staff at the hotel had little to no English and were not helpful in finding local buses to Monte Carlo. If you do want to get the bus, it's the 100 by Le Port bus stop and is €1.50 one way. Beautiful views and takes around 45 mins. Or you can get the train. The staff were very unhelpful in finding certain locations on the map for our walking tours therefore we visited the tourist information centre (next to Hard Rock Cafe) for all our queries. The hotel is locked from 7pm therefore no staff is available as well as over lunch. This was extremely inconvinient as this was not mentioned to us when leaving our bags at the luggage storage and we had to find a local store who would allow us to use their phone to call the hotel so we were able to get our bags. Overall, if we were to return to Nice we definitely will be looking elsewhere.

The perfect Petit Hotel
A wonderful little respite. The room and decor is very nice, stylish. The air conditioning was very cool and refreshing after a hot day. The location is perfect to explore Nice. Since there are only 7 rooms it is quiet and the street is the only pedestrian-only street I saw, making it even quieter in a busy neighborhood. This experience felt quite upscale for the price!

This hotel is in the perfect spot for exploring Nice by foot. You're in the middle of everything, but yet set back from the bustling streets. The room was modest, but comfortable, clean and nicely decorated, with the benefit of a Juliet balcony. The staff were ever so welcoming and helped us with our luggage up the steps to the hotel. A two minute walk takes you to Place Masséna, boasting wonderful water features, and another five minute walk from there takes you to the old town - offering a great selection of restaurants and bars. The promenade too is only a short walk. Though the stony beach may not be preferable to all, I still recommend a swim in the sea on a summer's day.

Everything was perfect. Good location. Mins to the beach, shopping area. Only bad thing was....NO LIFT :(. No fun lugging 2 big luggages up the stairs.
