Great hotel with an amazing view

Posted Aug 25, 2014
Pros: The view from the rooftop was lovely and the staff were very helpful
Location: Good location the beach is literally across the road, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby
The hotel is very impressive! Is just as nice as it looks on the website the view from the rooftop is amazing. Great location literally across the street from the beach. It was easy to get to the hotel from the airport, taxi's were very expensive so we got the bus instead for 12 Euros return ticket which was a short journey. The hotel staff were welcoming and helpful, particularly the concierge who gave us directions into town. The staff in the rooftop bar were also very friendly. The rooftop pool was lovely however there is an extra charge to use the sunbeds which we didn't expect so just went to the beach instead. Stayed just for a weekend trip would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel on the Promenade

Posted Aug 24, 2014
Pros: Nice, clean and modern. Great buffet English or Continental breakfast. Conveniently located on Promenade- excellent for walking, biking
Cons: Perhaps availability of food at the poolside bar. You can purchase dinner in the restaurant up there, but you can't order a drink and a snack.
Location: Right on Promenade. Go to the beach, pool, taxi to museums, walk or ride bikes to Old Town Nice, visit brasseries everywhere, visit Port of Nice, etc
We had a great time in Nice, and would happily recommend this hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean, nice bed & linens. Hotel staff were very nice and helpful. Convenient free shuttle into old town Nice each evening on the hour and returns on the half hour. Rental cruiser bikes right our front with easy access to Promenade, lockable anywhere. Taxis available anytime. View restaurant atop hotel with pool, beautiful view. Favorite restaurant within hotel complex is on the beachside across from hotel where you can rent lounge chairs and towels for the day. Note: all the hotels along Promenade are across from the beach- there are no beachside hotels- but it's very nice anyway and just the way it's done. Restaurants galore in Old Town, super fun to walk around to sidewalk cafes for delicious eats/drinks, people watching.

Nice hotel lovely views ,

Posted Aug 21, 2014
Pros: Rooftop area
Cons: Reduced restaurant and bar prices to keep people there. Shuttle bus to run during the day
Location: Views lovely, not a lot to do around the hotel
The rooftop pool, bar and restaurant are the best I've seen. Lovely views by day and night. Restaurant and bar quite expensive but well worth a visit. Only downside the hotel is quite a way from the city centre. There is a free shuttle bus which runs every night which is brilliant. Its a pity it doesn't run in the day-time. Not a lot to do outside of the hotel within walking distance.

Nice hotel. Far from town though

Nice is a great destination, close to Monaco (excellent place) although very very expensive. Hotel drinks were ridiculously expensive, Gin & tonic €19 !!!!!

Nice hotel

Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Comfy beds, cleanliness, breakfast on the roof!
Cons: No charge for sunbeds and towels.
Location: Very close to beach, short bus ride or walk into old town, 25 min train ride to Monaco
Great hotel, only complaint is the daily charge for each sunbed at the pool or beach, €88 for a family of four per day! Bike hire available at the hotel and a great cycle lane stretching the length of the bay. Beautiful view from the rooftop bar and pool. Very close to airport and a good bus service to old town, train station etc. would stay again.

Would not recommend

Posted Aug 11, 2014
It sounds silly but the hotel is under construction and parts if it is not accessible. The private beach they claim to have you have to pay 20 euros for half a day which I didn't expect. The rooms were just not what we had hoped for for a 4 star hotel, they were decent in size but just like staying at a motel 6 for comfort and quality of room items. Just disappointed for the price.

Hotel close to beach

Very nice hotel with private beach and swimming pool. Quite a long walk to get to the town centre. A shuttle was provided in the evening but not during the day.

A mixed experience

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Sea view; pool
Cons: Concierge service; food available in rooftop bar. Felt very corporate
Location: Velo Bleu; old town; bus trips to Vence & St Paul De Vence
Location not ideal as taxis were ridiculously expensive & the public bus service seemed to stop at 9 pm. Velo Bleu & the hotel shuttle bus were good though. Rooftop pool and bar were stunning but having to pay for sunloungers pay for the private beach was a downer. Poor choice of food in the bar very expensive! Bar staff helpful but concierges tended to be grumpy. Room excellent with sea view but as it was on the 1st floor there was a lot of traffic noise - higher up would be much better. Had a great time in Nice!

Nice big rooms

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: The room , the view
Cons: Food standard at breakfast and lunch Beach staff could improve their customer services
Location: Beach Old town Museum Tram
The hotel is clean and comfortable. The pool is a nice size with a lovely view. The shuttle bus was useful. If you don't get the bus it's about a 50 minute walk back from the old town.
