Gorgeous PlacePosted Nov 25, 2013
Went to Santa Barbara for our honey moon and were very pleased with everything. The place was a bit far but worth the drive. It is private, luxurious, and has a gorgeous quiet beach. The king and queen of holland stayed there at the same time we were there, that's a proof of how good the place is. We definety recommend renting a car because taxis are expensive and you need a car to go anywhere. We felt very safe in the resort because they have great security not that it's needed but it's a plus. The only thing I didn't like about Santa Barbara was that they will charge for anything extra like a kayak, snorkeling gear, wifi, etc... I understand if they charge for jet skis and scuba diving but not for snorkeling gear. Super friendly and respectful staff, beach was very clean and private, restaurants were very good and the store had everything you need.

Hidden Gem on island of CuracaoPosted Oct 4, 2013
Pros: Extremely well kept, serene location, friendly staff, accommodating amenities
Location: A bit of a drive from anything else on the island, but that's part of the beauty. Such a secluded and gorgeous resort untouched and perfect getaway
This resort is a hidden gem and our experience was absolutely outstanding. From the second we arrived and were greeted with welcome drinks, to the superior service, and gorgeous rooms and grounds, this hotel is an absolute dream. With the beach steps from your room, this beautiful plantation style resort has gorgeous sunsets, food, golf and beach all at your fingertips. Add on the amazing pool, and laid back vibe, there is no other place I would stay on our next trip!

Wonderful StayPosted Sep 4, 2013
Cons: I think the Food offer could be improved.
Location: You can go fishing, rent snorkels, kayaks and go to the nearby area to very nice restaurants but you would need a car.
We spend 4 days at the resort and had a great time. Loved the beach!

Isolated, beautiful, poor servicePosted Aug 29, 2013
Cons: Pool service, energetic staff
Location: Lagoon, ocean, boat excursions near by.
Excellent property, grounds, and nice overall ambiance Overpriced, weak drinks especially at the pool Pool side waiter service is extremely rare ( we walked to bar almost all times) Offered (free) cup of water at the pool One time only in 5 days Somewhat sluggish staff that looks fatigued for the most part

Beautiful combination of desert and tropicsPosted Aug 25, 2013
Pros: The golf course if very beautiful - every hole is a postcard. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The property is absolutely picturesque.
Cons: A larger pool (infinity) and a hot tub on property would be nice. Otherwise, perfect!
Location: The location is slightly remote but only about 18km from the airport. There is a great mountain bike tour nearby, if you're into that.
Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort is a gem! My husband and I stayed for a week in mid August and had a wonderful time. For the past few years, we've been going to an all adults, all inclusive resort in Cancun & were reluctant to change. However, this place was spectacular! We had absolutely no regrets! The temperature was in the 90's but it was very windy which made it feel so comfortable, even when sitting on the beach for hours at a time. The beach is more of an inlet, but is clear to the bottom & calm. The hotel is otherwise situated on the ocean, which is very choppy and not suitable for swimming. The room was lovely, the staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I had read many reviews (negative) about Medi; however we found the service, food quality and atmosphere to be fantastic. We ate there almost every night. The one night we ate downtown was very disappointing and we were very happy to return to the property. A rental car is a good idea for at least a couple of days, but not necessary for everyday. The GPS is mandatory as there are no street signs. Don't bother with an address - just go to points of interest on the GPS and your hotel will be listed there. The resort can be as expensive as you want it to be. You can eat out every meal or you can do what we did, which was use the rental car to get to the local grocery store for supplies. This suited us nicely.
