"It’s a historic property and has a quaint lodge elegance. The service and amenities are very nice. The food is delicious. The room is comfortable I wish there were more electrical outlets close to the beds but I was nonetheless able to charge my devices without issue. The location, just a very few minutes walk to the entrance to all the shrines, as well as to the bus stop, is super convenient. "

"Our marvellous 5 days stay with Nikko Station Classic as we explore Nikko. Love the close proximity to train station with great sound proofing room and beautiful mountain view from room. Loved the dinning options offered especially their breakfast buffet with wide varieties and different choices each morning. The staff are friendly and helpful too. "

"Staff is very helpful and hospitable. Public baths are clean and not too busy. The staff gave good explanation on the Onesen. We took the Japanese breakfast and it was OK but not great, we didn't find a lot of alternative dining options close by. Location is great - next to the temples and close to the bus station. The one thing I would improve would be the towels - They give only one towel per person which is not enough if you go 3-4 times a day to the public bath like we did, and there's no way to dry your towel quickly especially in the winter when it's freezing. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the public bath was great."
