Nice hotel with fantastic staffPosted Feb 24, 2014
Pros: THE STAFF: PETER AND KATYA THE ONSEN BATH ( inside, not natural though)
Cons: THE LIGHT INSIDE THE ROOMS AND DETAILS ABOUT THE DESIGN TO GIVE A WARMER ABD MORE PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE
Location: SKIING… HIKING.
Smal hotel (9 rooms) makes it very intimate. Very cosy and warm atmosphere in the common lounge downstairs, with wood and warm colors, and nice lamps… the kind of place you would dream to go after 1 day skiing, to rest, read, relax… WHAT A SHAME THE ROOMS LACK TOTALLY OF THAT CHARM AND WARMTH!… We had a 4 ppl bedroom, with a mezzanine for 2 and a main room downstairs. There was a corner sofa … in which ~ ~ you just could NOT sit and read a book…. because there was NO LIGHT! NO LAMP… The Corner part, full of cushions, would have been the ideal place to just relax… it is next to pitch dark… ~ Inside, colors are a bit off-putting: Walls all dark charcoal grey and dark brown wood furniture… ~ Main bed: impossible to read lying in bed: no proper bedside lamp! he one present there is giving light down below the bedside table… and is so weak! SO yes! LIGHT AND CHARM ARE THE MAIN ISSUES THERE. You just do not feel like staying cosily in your room! ~ No dinner included: the restaurant of the hotel is good, French and terribly expensive. Forced to take the whole menu: nice but big and lack of flexibility. VERY GOOD POINTS: ~ kindness and availability of the staff: Peter and Katya. Unique and very professional. Always at our service with a smile. ~ Hot bath Onsen like.

Wonderful place, amazing service!Posted Jan 16, 2014
Pros: Great location, close to everything, warm & cosy, great restaurant next door, super comfy rooms & beds, excellent service.
A home away from home with the added bonus of having the most wonderful managers to cater for your every whim. We stayed for 5 nights and didn't want the experience to end. Peter and Katia go above and beyond to make your stay with them easy, enjoyable and memorable. They provide a level of service that I have not come across before as nothing is too much trouble for them to sort out for you. It was our first time to Niseko and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay as they helped us sort everything out from ski lessons to restaurant reservations and physio appointments! The rooms are lovely with everything you could possibly need and the lounge area is a wonderful place to sit and watch the snow fall. I highly recommend this property and cannot wait to stay again.
