Nishiizu is within easy reach of many of Izu Peninsula’s well-known sights. The Kayama Yuzo Museum and the Dogashima Tensodo Cave are amongst the popular destinations in the area. Also worth checking out are the Mount Nesugatayama Observatory and Shimoda Aquarium.
If the weather is good get outdoors and appreciate the nearby green spaces. There are no shortage of gardens and parks, so why not take a break in the Inatori Bunka Park in Higashiizu and the Kawazu Bagatelle Park in Kawazu. If you are up for a walk take the family to one of the local beaches, for example Sotoura Beach in Shimoda and Imaihama Beach in Kawazu.
To make sure you get the most out of Nishiizu, consider booking a room close by in one of the area’s hotel or serviced apartment options. If you’re looking for a warm welcome and a good nights sleep check out the amenities at the Arai Ryokan, the Shimoda Tokyu Hotel, and the popular Imaiso, Kawazu.
