Convenient hotel in downtown AalborgPosted Mar 12, 2014
Comfortable and convenient place to stay in the middle of Aalborg. Good breakfast and good restaurants in short walking distance. Easy walk to the train station.

Pros: The breakfasts were amazing - healthy and delicious! Really nice staff who were friendly, helpful and polite; always.
Cons: A guide to the history of the hotel/house. There is one in Danish, but not in English.
Location: Very close to shopping and local restaurants. Also close to numerous tourist attractions with amazing restaurants cafes and bars in-between.
great hotel which is right next to the shopping/eating areas but has good access to all of Aalborg. The room was booked as a single but was the size of a normal double and the bed was really comfortable. All of the hotel staff spoke excellent English and the facilities were very good.

OkPosted Jul 20, 2013
Pros: Breakfast. Able to open windows. Room and bed clean. Bathroom new and very clean.
Cons: Get new, clean rugs for rooms. Lighten up entry hall.
Location: Good, central location. Easy walk to train station.
Room was clean but floor rug didn't seem fresh. Room had definite smell. Not sure if it was from the rug or what. Fortunately most of the floor was hardwood and it was very clean. Bathroom was new and very fresh. Windows opened and I kept them open the whole time to help with the musty smell. Bed was narrow but probably a standard single. Room and hotel were fine but nothing great. Fine for price and location. Very good breakfast in spacious dining room. Great food, huge choice, fresh, delicious food in a warm, sunny atmosphere. Very busy but great breakfast free with room.

Great hotel for any travellerPosted Jun 16, 2013
Pros: Location. Staff. Room. Pretty much everything.
Cons: Just that my room, which was on the 1st floor, was close to the smoking deck. Wouldn't be a problem for many rooms, but something to pay attention to.
Great hotel. Very historic. Right downtown. A 10-minute walk through the safe downtown of Aalborg. This hotel is great if you want to go to the river, a nearby cemetery, the extremely nearby cathedral, or really, anything downtown. It's also very nice looking. The staff were incredibly friendly, and you get a really nice big breakfast. The only problem was my room window was right next to the smoking deck. It wasn't a real problem, but there were a couple times where it seemed awkward to hear them talking. But really, a great hotel overall.

Very positive experiencePosted Nov 28, 2012
Single person, stayed there for 5 days. If something not working, staff is very helpful and will fix it. Very nice breakfast. House rules prohibit noise between 10pm and 7am.

Back to the 70'ies.Posted Sep 26, 2012
Pros: The breakfast and the bed.
Cons: The room
Location: Smack in the center of Aalborg
I stayed in one of their original rooms. Totally worn down. They cannot have spent a single dollar on paint or other upkeep over the last 20 years. The bed was nice, though.

2 night stay by a couple from ColoradoPosted Jul 17, 2012
Pros: Free WIFI internet. Free breakfast. Good location.
Cons: General condition of the hotel.
2 night stay by a tourist couple from Colorado. Hotel room has lots of space but was old and less than ideal. When window was open, noise from outside was noisy. Carpet had not been vacuumed. Breakfast was good. Elevator was ancient. Bed was comfortable and clean. Location in the town was ideal. For the price, would stay there again but not as nice as some other hotels we stayed in while in Denmark.

nice hotelPosted Jul 14, 2012 on Hotels.com
the hotel was very nice. The internet went out one night in the hotel and overall was not very fast, but the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were reasonably sized and well kept.
