“Very friendly, good value for the money.”

Staff were friendly; good location for Gt Yarmouth sea front; rooms clean and tidy; restaurant/food good; only complaint is that there is no lift and the stairs can be a killer if you are on the third floor.

“Would not recommend it.”

The hotel is in bad need of upgrading, and some of the staff are in need of basic training. The heating in the room we were allocated did not work, and when we reported this the hotel receptionist / barman / handyman attempted to bleed the system. I pointed out to him that this was not acceptable and I then had to advise him to allocate another room to us. Even after he had seen that the heating was inoperable he mentioned that no other guests had reported any problem as if this was an acceptable explanation! He then offered us the use of portable heaters and I stated that as well as heaters not being an adequate replacement, I did not feel that these would be safe to operate in a room when the occupants were out. I told him that he would need to move us to another room, which he eventually did. May I point out that no apology was ever offered by any of the hotel staff.
