Best hotel stay I've had in ages!

Posted Jul 28, 2015
From the check in to the check out, this experience was just flawless! Rachel who checked us in was bubbly and friendly which added to the experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable, so much so that I asked where the mattress topper was from. I liked that the windows in the room could open more than 3 inches which seems to be the case in most hotels these days. We had spa treatments booked which added to our relaxed weekend along with the pool and steam room. Topping off our weekend was the buffet breakfast which was endless and fresh! Will definitely be coming back!

Nice hotel in Norwich

Posted Jul 20, 2015
The good: Friendly staff, great breakfast; nice leisure centre although swimming pool is on the small size; plenty of parking space. The bad: Room had no air condition and got very hot during the day. The ugly: Dinner was very ordinary and not up to standard for the place (raspberry coulies on tart tatin? Are you serious?)

Lovely building, rooms great, wonderful staff.

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Cons: The hotel needs air conditioning. It is extremely hot in the rooms even with electric fans. The Zest bar was awful. No staff and food expensive & poor
Location: Wroxham is nearby which is great for boating on the broads. park and ride into Norwich about 10 mins walk or 2 mins drive. Very cheap and great servic
A beautiful Manor House with lovely grounds. Pool very nice size and there is a nice outdoor sunbathing area with nice loungers. Nice lawns and golf greens. The staff can't do enough for you.

Disappointed...

Disappointed with the quality of the room. The sink was badly cracked, no hooks for towels, dirty inner shower curtain, no air conditioning.

Very nice hotel but noisy adjoining rooms

Posted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: Setting, facilities, rooms.
Cons: Sound proofing in rooms
A lovely hotel in a brilliant setting. Rooms are nicely furnished especially the bathroom. Comfy bed. But we were woken up by a crying baby and someone snoring and kept awake for over 3 hours! For a modern building the sound insulation was very poor. We won't be going back.

well kept hotel with good facilities

Posted May 29, 2015
Pros: It is well maintained, clean and comfortable.
Cons: The swimming pool was very "adult orientated". Slightly reduce the area for swimming lengths and let children jump in.
Location: Location was good 15 minutes to a lovely beach and Bewilderwood adventure park, close to Norwich
Generally our stay was very good, comfortable and we enjoyed the facilities, especially the swimming pool.

Amazing place for weddings

Posted May 26, 2015
I was here for a little R & R but I was taken aback at just how wonderful the hotel (including staff) was for things like weddings. The restaurant is fantastic and you get a decent portion too

Disappointing for the price.

Posted May 26, 2015
Pros: The staff
Cons: The 'noise of the room'.
Location: Good location for the purpose of our trip.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was fine, not what I would call 'deluxe', but comfortable and clean. The problem I had was the permanent clicking/tapping sound in the room above the door. I didn't notice it so much before we went to sleep (partly due to the loud music from the ball taking place downstairs), but woke in the night and it kept me awake. I mentioned it to the staff on reception in the morning and they said they'd send somebody to check it out whilst we were out for the day. We returned at around 11pm and found the noise was still there, and no feedback from anybody as to what it was. Again, it kept me awake for some of the night. When we checked out I asked whether anyone had been to look at the problem and was told that they thought it was the pipes and 'just the noise of the room'. For £173 per night, I expect a room that doesn't have noise in it and therefore would not recommend this hotel. Breakfast wasn't great either - the bacon was all stuck together and looked unappetising and there was no-one around to help or cook fresh eggs - so I had two tired poached eggs with toast and coffee and my daughter had wheetabix and toast for the grand total of £30.

Perfect place for a relaxing break

Posted May 7, 2015
Spent a quiet weekend in this lovely old Manor House with good modern facilities put in place. Good pool and steam room/sauna and small but well equipped gym on site. Peaceful grounds including a golf course makes for a peaceful setting. Our suite was large and very comfortable. Would recommend.
