Excellent 3 star hotel close to railway and city.

Posted May 25, 2015
Pros: The staff and the comfort.
Cons: It's an old building so the stairs are a bit steep when you're carrying a bag down.
Location: Walk Norwich - it's a beautiful city. Go to see the cathedral and have tea in the coffee shop there.
It's an excellent 3 star hotel and I thoroughly recommend it. The staff are overwhelmingly friendly and helpful; the rooms are comfortable and clean; the location is very convenient to the station though a little bit away from the city centre; and the breakfast is good. There's not much more that you really could want in a hotel. Actually yes: the price is good too!

Happy stay

The staff were warm and welcoming. The room was large, bright and so clean The bathroom was likewise. Breakfast was good, my scrambled eggs were excellent and freshly made to order. We really enjoyed our stay.

Good staff but poor room condition/facilities

Posted Apr 12, 2015 on Hotels
I was given an attic room with a little window on the ceiling and a smaller one at the floor level. The noise level due to rain and wind was high. On top of that the heating (& TV explained later) NEVER worked properly despite best attempts by the helpful staff - Josh, Jess and Mark were all very good. However the room didn't even have a proper table that could be used to keep my laptop, unless I removed the TV whose remote kept malfunctioning. The towels were glorified hand towels - the staff could only provide more of them. A forgettable experience except for the helpful staff.

Breakfast could have been better (awful sausages). But otherwise great, especially for the money. Clean, light and airy.

Norwich's Finest.

Best hotel I have stayed in, in Norwich. Not a far walk from the centre, great pub across the road but most of all a thoroughly clean and well kept hotel. The room was immaculate and the breakfast was great.

City hotel

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Cons: Evening menu was more Travelodge than Premier Inn
Good 3star hotel. All the basics. Very helpful staff. No elevator but rooms comfortable. Evening menu OK if you don't want tlo go out. Breakfast very good. The hotel does not have a car park and I was glad to be able to take my car to where I was working each day. The TV would not work but I only found that out on the last evening so I cannot comment further. I will certainly stay there on my next visit to Norwich.

Weekend break in Norwich

Posted Nov 25, 2014 on Hotels
Ideal hotel if visiting Norwich and taking in the match. Clean and well equipped, good breakfast, great location for the football and the city centre. Only small moan that the room had no heating despite asking at reception.
