Prices does not reflect qualityPosted Mar 7, 2014
Pros: It is near the centre of town.
Cons: The hotel needs to put it's list of features. Car park signage. Room rates should reflect quality of room.
Location: Lots to do and see in Norwich. From old lanes of shops, to open markets and odd antique markets, great bars and good choice of restaurants.
The room was such a let down. We have recently stayed in a Premier Inn in London for half the price which was larger, lighter and cleaner. The blinds and light shades were dusty, the bath had hairs left in it, the windows had mold and the view left alot to be desired. The noise from the air duct system outside out window was strange and loud in the morning. The noise from the room above (especially when a guest used the toilet) was horrible. The shower really needs some sort of instructions, and the one in our room needs some servicing. We were offered Wi-Fi but found that it is not Wi-Fi - but internet access that is allowed. The car park has very few spaces. The breakfast was lovely and the service very efficient, however their were no extra vegetarian options (veggie sausages or bacon).

Good Central HotelPosted Mar 2, 2014
My only real complaint is the lack of parking spaces which would make me think twice about returning to this otherwise very enjoyable hotel

Absolutely fantastic hotel and great location!!!Posted Dec 29, 2013
Pros: Cleanliness, warm and cosy, location
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Location: Lots of great sightseeing during the day + shops during the day and great pubs and clubs for night.
One of the best hotels i've ever stayed in. As soon as you walk in, you feel very welcomed..very warm nice atmosphere. Hotel overall is very clean. Was very impressed. Will certainly stay again in the future. 10/10.

Mixed ExperiencePosted Nov 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
I chose this hotel for the location and the pretty good reviews it has so far seemed to generate from the majority, so I was disappointed that on this particular visit it wasn't up to the standard I'd expected. I was supposed to get a complimentary upgrade on arrival from my purchase via Hotels.com. ON check-in I was allocated a very small room on the first floor. The TV had a line through the picture and the telephone also did not work. On explaining to reception I should have had an upgrade, they then took 30 minutes to contact me to explain all the upgraded rooms had been fully booked but offered me an alternative room of the same standard on a higher floor. This looked a bit bigger, with a working TV and a better view (not of a brick wall). The downside of this room was that it was incredibly cold despite the radiator being on and the bathroom had no heating at all. To top it off, the water from the shower was luke warm first thing in the morning, which was really unpleasant. Overall, I was not impressed with the quality of this hotel for the price and won't be staying here again.

Beautiful hotel...Posted Nov 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed our time at the maids head it was perfect for shopping and easy distance to walk to and from dinner. 5he only fault we found was the bed. Both my husband and I found it very uncomfortable to sleep on and it did need new pillows which was a shame because the rest of the hotel was beautiful. They have been refurbing so maybe we had an old room.

Center of townPosted Oct 17, 2013
Pros: Location, ambience, cleanliness, free on site parking.
Cons: Wi fi was a little weak in room, but I was able to get on.
Location: Hotel is a few walking blocks from shopping and city center, right next to cathedral. The Norfolk Records Office is a short drive or bus ride away.
Great spot for walking around this ancient town. Staff wonderfully helpful with directions. Streets are narrow for driving! Cathedral is right next door. Delicious breakfast. Their pub lasagna was good too.

Nice. Friendly and so helpful!Posted Oct 8, 2013
Cons: We didn't find a thing.
Location: We were there to look up family records and found a wealth of information about my ancestors at the Norfolk Family History Society.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. We had been in London and our room there was cramped and small. We were so happy to have a room with space and so clean. The staff helped us get around the city and shifted things around when we requested to stay longer in the same room. All the staff was friendly and warm from the reception desk to the, cleaning staff, to the bar staff and in the restaurant. We would gladly stay again. It was one of the high points of our trip. In addition, it was so close to everything we wanted to see that we were able to walk to almost everywhere! Loved the history of the place too.
