We were really happy with this hotel that we booked very last minute. Really friendly staff, lovely accommodation and great breakfast! Would recommend it!

Excellent staff work very hard and stretched a little thin, one person on reception covering bar and restaurant. Heaters are not sufficent for room, made it just warm even on full, room could have been warm on arrival but was fridge like

A pleasant experience. The property is looking a bit tired in places. The staff and food are excellent. I would recommend this hotel and intend on returning.

Great hotel friendly staff
Had a really nice stay here. Plenty of parking beautifully lit tree at the front of the hotel. On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and took me to my room just a short walk from reception. The room was spacious with a comfortable double bed. Tea coffee and water in the room. TV was a bit on the small side and no sockets next to the bed. Reception loaned me an extension lead which was good of them. Dinner was in an enormous conservatory and the sea bass was excellent. Breakfast was also served there and again service and food was pretty good. The bathroom and water pressure was 10/10. Overall excellent value for money beautiful grounds and there was even an outdoor pool which was closed for the winter season. I’d stay here again if given the opportunity.

Overall it was quite good except that the room was a bit small for it to be a family room for 4 as it seemed like the 2 single beds were just placed in the room wherever there was any space. The location was good and the gardens were well maintained. The breakfast was excellent.

The staff here are great, very friendly and welcoming. It is a pleasant hotel with nice, clean rooms. The grounds are well kept though there isn’t much to explore by foot nearby, particularly if you fancied a walk. The hotel is situated on a busy road with no footpath so you have to drive to get anywhere. Norwich is about 15 mins drive away and there are lots to see within 30-60 minute drive of the hotel itself. The breakfast was a highlight for us- fruit bowl is really fresh and the full English is generous and very tasty.

Ok for a one night stay
The room was very basic, the telly was very small. Shower had incorrect shower head fitting so didnt fit in the holder properly you had to stand against the wall to shower. On arrival was shown room and told how to turn heating on, thought that as it was cold that this should have been done before we arrived, as room was very cold on arrival. Breakfast was ok, coffee from the machine was terrible. However for us the staff made this place nice, Lesley who checked us in was lovely. The whole place just needs some TLC a lick of paint, some new furnishings would do it the world of good, its all just a bit tired and dated.

Gem of a hotel in Crostwick
Great stay. I was there for a Xmas lunch reunion the following day.Very quiet location and staff are so friendly. Service in restaurant first class.

Lovely hotel, just outside of town.
This is a fantastic place to stay for a few days, or just one night as we did. We stayed here because our flight left at 6am from NWI. It's less than a 10 minute drive from the airport. Also the in-house restaurant was very nice, with a great selection of starters and entrees. It's very close to grocery stores, as well as downtown Norwich. But far enough away to enjoy the window open without city noise. My only complaint about the hotel is not having outlets nearer the beds. Other than that it is a great place to stay. I would stay here again, without question.

Norwich overnight delight.
We stopped overnight whilst visiting friend in the area. The hotel is a delight to stay at with friendly helpful staff. The meals provided were to a good standard and served up in a light and airy orangery. If we visit the area again we will definitely consider this place

Lovely location, helpfulness of staff was amazing. Good food and drink, comfortable room. The outside pool was nice and warm, kids really enjoyed the pool. We would befiently recommend for a family stay. Excellent breakfast lots of variety. We would stay again, without doubt.

The good bits: The breakfast was yummy and generous. The bed was comfortable (we took our own pillows). The staff were friendly. There were plenty of seating options in the room and plenty of hot water. The Jam Bar is very cool. The bad bits: We arrived in time for my husband to log on to a zoom meeting but the wifi was dire due to the hotel hosting a conference. He ended up using his phone data. Our room was freezing when we arrived due to being heated by a panel heater that only turns on when the key fob is in the slot inside the door. They did provide us an extra fob so it could be left on when we went out for the evening. Because of the conference there was nowhere for me to be whilst he was on his meeting. All rooms were either in use for the conference or setup for a wake. I am a small lady, my husband is broad shouldered - neither of us could stand comfortably in the shower cubicle due to the ridiculous placement of a grab rail. There were quite a few cobwebs growing above the bed. Our room was nothing like as nicely coordinated as the photos led us to hope for and generally the whole place needs decorating.

Old rectory hotel
Super friendly staff. We had an issue with the room which was dealt with swiftly and effectively. Breakfast was fantastic, lovely area, easy parking. I think they also had an electric charge point for cars.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff here were welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated the fact that covid secure measures were still in place with one way systems, social distancing, additional cleaning and mask wearing. Our ground floor room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the outside area and, despite it being late September, were able to enjoy an outdoor meal due to the heating. We enjoyed the evening meal and breakfast. We only stayed one night as we were travelling but would happily return for longer and use it as a base to explore the local area.

Enjoyable stay but could improve things
Had a really good 3 night stay mainly as a base to explore the Norfolk coast. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Had an issue with the toilet flush on the first night and the night manager replaced the flush in 10 minutes. The property itself could do with a little tlc like a bit of decorating in some areas but otherwise very a nice. A little bit pricey I think for its location as there is nothing there unless you have transport and the included breakfast is very basic. I would happily stay here again though.

This hotel is a must give it a go
I booked this hotel for short break as the past 4 months hasn’t been good to me,so decided to have a break.I came across this hotel on your website and thought yes.From the time I arrived I was most welcomed by Nicola at reception and the time I left by Becky.All waiters and waitresses were very polite.The hotel is situated approx 10 miles from where my wife and I lived so it was nice to go back and bring back all the happy memories we shared together as she past in April.Iwill be going back again as the swimming pool was nice and warm and the weather was nice to sit in the garden and have nice refreshing drink waitress served

Highly recommended, lovely stay.
Absolutely fantastic stay at the old rectory with the family. The service is really brilliant. Every single member of staff was lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. The food is delicious, lots of choice for breakfast including lots of vegan/veggie choices, the evening menu is equally great. The family room was perfect for us, very comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. The pretty garden and outdoor heated pool are a fantastic bonus. I would highly recommend a stay at the old rectory, we will be returning without a doubt, we had a great time.
