Quiet and ConvenientPosted Mar 31, 2014
Pros: Small with intimate atmosphere. Friendly staff and good food.
Cons: Wider choice of menu.
Pleasant location - ideal for a quiet stay, yet relatively close (2 miles) to Norwich City Centre and its shops / museums etc or the Norfolk coast.

Lovely InnPosted Oct 5, 2013
Pros: Dinners; Fluffy towels; Location; Service; Library
Cons: Lighting in the rooms...needed better lighting for reading. I think it would be nice if they provided warm scones and breads at breakfast
Location: Perfect location for us. Really appreciated and enjoyed the quiet area. Norwich was a wonderful town to explore
A wonderful private Inn outside Norwich. It was great to walk in to Norwich every day...about a 30 minute walk. The weather was good so the walk was great and welcome exercise. Cab can be called st desk if you need a ride. Quiet with beautiful grounds. Our room was large and well appointed...great bathroom with lots of fluffy towels. We had dinner in the dinning room and it was truly fabulous! Start with cocktails in the library where you also order your dinner..then you are taken to dinning room closer to serving time...a very nice touch. We are traveling back to Norwich next spring and we will DEFINITELY stay at The Rectory

Very relaxing atmosphere and excellent that local suppliers were used where possible.

great hotel for couplesPosted Apr 29, 2013
Pros: Friendly and cosy atmosphere
Cons: could do with some more flowers (tulips) in the borders
Location: Easy taxi ride from Norwich
What friendly hospitality. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff. We had a very pleasant stay. Some 5 star hotels could learn from them! The magnolia in the garden was magnificent!

Lovely small hotelPosted Nov 3, 2012
My wife and I stayed overnight in this lovely little hotel. The staff were helpful, the room very pleasant, and the evening meal a good quality.

A small gemPosted Mar 17, 2012
Both the house and the couple who are its proprietors were thoroughly charming. The dinner served at the hotel was outstanding. Those wishing to visit Norwich's attractions (e.g., Norwich Castle), though, should note that these require a taxi or considerable trek.

A wonderful start to our holidayPosted May 14, 2011
We were made to feel like old friends even though this was our first trip. Room was clean bright and comfortable and the evening meal was first class. Great service from everyone involved and we have already planned a return visit. Only one small criticism - our bed was a little softer than we would like.
